I grew up in this brownstone! In the 80's my grandparents moved out of their kitchenette(they shared a bathroom with other neighbors on the floor, that was located in the hallway) into their first apartment, which was located in this brownstone. Their apartment was located on the first floor straight to the back of the brownstone. It had a huge living room and a cute court yard in the back, where we would have cookouts for the holidays❤❤. It was such a cute apartment😍😍❤❤. My siblings and I spent many weekends and holidays here visiting our grandparents ,after we moved to Brooklyn from Harlem in 1980. I've moved back to Harlem 20+ years now and I often walk down this street, just to walk pass this brownstone. And I always say out loud, thank you granddaddy and grandma...for such a beautiful childhood ❤❤❤❤.

Hold onto your bloomers... In March of 1977 this house sold for $28,000! May of 1999 it sold for $110,000 then in September of 2016 for $1,550,000.00! It’s currently listed for $3,250,000 as of January 2021! 3,250,000 ➗ 28,000 = 116 (116.071429) Aah real-estate! It’s a beautiful townhouse and the location is great however, the renovation is too modern for my personal taste. Why are there two full kitchens? Is someone planning on splitting up the townhouse making several apartments? The first kitchen did not appear to be a kitchenette, that’s why I’m asking.

There are 2 apartments. The door going into the living room on the main floor is the divider between them. The main floor kitchen and living areas at the back go with the bedrooms in the basement. The second apartment is comprised of the the remaining floors. The front rooms on the main floor are a common area for both apartments.

@@jeffreynolds4416: Floor plan sounds a bit confusing. I have a friend in San Francisco who has a house with a separate living area in the basement with a living room, bedroom and kitchen. There are other houses like that, some with only a bedroom and small kitchen area, always on a separate floor. But they don't have a common area where they hang out with their tenants.
