Bought 2x32 GB Kingston sticks after I saw your video about them, both are A-die. Got them to 6666 Mhz 32-40-40-52 on 13700k+Z690 Tachyon, I wanted them to be as cool as possible and did not push the voltage too high. Very happy with what I have.

*Having a bank of ram on each side of the stick is bad for heat. I have 2x16GB (32GB kit) of dual channel, 7,200MHz CL34 G.Skill Trident. Not the lowest timings, but still very good modules. They will be warm, but nothing alarming.* *I don't stream. I only game.*

I always fill up all ram slots and I always regret it. MBs cant handle it. especialy if its fast overclocked ram. You always run into issues after some time. triple or quad channel , dual is always best

10:10 TW: Warhammer 3, can and will kick your hardware. Try a custom 40 v 40 units battle on a Cathay map, with Ultra settings + Extreme shadows and Screen Reflections on. And see your fps drop down way in to the two digits range :)

So, it looks like 32 GB would be your best choice for most FPS, especially if you’re dual PC streaming. I guess having more gigs of memory does not equal to better performance. It’s actually the complete opposite. I do plan on streaming, but I also love gaming, and I also know that 64 GB is better for multitasking and video editing, so I guess 64 GB is better off on my streaming PC, which is my gaming laptop that I don’t plan on playing games on.

tl:dr doesnt really matter for 1080p gaming. I wonder how they compare in a VRAM bound scenario, when the pc needs to constantly shuffle textures between RAM and VRAM.

Great video! At the Warzone benchmark, 64GB ram somehow has GPU temps 8°C lower than in 32GB and 48GB variation (42°C against 50°C). Any idea why?

I'm running a g.skill 32gb ddr5 6000mhz cl32 , I got it to run @ 6400mhz and it benchmarks fine(timespy/cinebench) with a Z690 Aorus Ultra 14700k and 4090 , but for whatever crashes in Dota2 only lol when running a preset timing @ 6400 1.35v , I've been kind of shopping for an upgrade to a 48gb or 64gb kit to max my MB specs @ 6200OC . Any suggestions? I was trying to hold out for g.skill royal ddr5 that was showcased at CES but it seems to never be coming.

Sad that the 1%lows Weren’t working because with Fortnite you can see a big difference in the amount of RAM on the 0.1% lows. Something like 20fps on 32GB 40fps on 64GB and 50fps on 96GB sooo yeah wanted to see the 1 and especially 0.1% lows 😌

the 64gb 7200 is the best imo. Same performance more capacity. In terms of ddr4.. is that obsolete now that ddr5 kits are similar price now. They still have lower latency.. 45ns with bdie

DDR4 will still be relevant for years to come. It's still OC capable, still cheap, and DDR5 doesn't have THAT much more than DDR4. I only went with DD5 because I got a really good deal. A 32gb DDR4 kit or higher will be able to support games for a long while.

@@xTurtleOW B-die that's fully tuned - primary, secondary, tertiary, etc. timings - and in the 4000+ Mhz range is around equivalent to a good DDR5 kit in the 6600 MHz - 7400 MHz range. Fully tuned B-die is extraordinary.

Good luck looking or feeling a difference of 6 frames per seconds in 300FPS. Memory nowadays for gaming do almost nothing with resize bar feature ON and High Vram card. Playing+Streaming with my 4090 sometimes My Memory Ram just use 9GB with my DDR5 (2X32) 64Gb 6400Mhz. For content creator that another story that where you would see the difference of buying high and faster memory ram because in gaming if you play 1440p or higher 16gb Vs 64gb would have the same FPS and in 1080p 5-10 FPS of difference but also $100 more in Prices for something you would not feel or see in 1080p

not 32GB, but most AAA and others from 2018-2023 use 18-20GB RAM.

​@@ionelroza no they do not use such ram. you should understand that for ram/vram there is 2 different usage. the first usage is like the minimum required and the second one is "loading" load data in memory for later use. most game require maximum 4-5 gb vram but can fill up to 23gb vram (call of duty). when you run out of vram, windows will share half the ram with the vram.
