If you put a collar and cowbell on Eeyore, Gidget will quickly learn to follow the sound. An old leather rein with a (break-away) cotton shoe lace to tie it safely around Eeyore’s neck.

Yes! I did the same with my blind dog. Both me and my other dog wore bells. I'd also snap my fingers. My other dog also learned to help him 'see' and help him around. Animals continue to amaze me 🥰

Donkeys are super protective of the animals and humans around them. It’s a big part of the reason they sometimes show a lot of aggression. I love donkeys.

I had a 16 year old blind black lab. 2 golden puppies found in the woods became his eyes and helped him a very long time to get around the yard and house. They are amazing!!

Animals are like family to us. It's so heartbreaking when they get sick and there's nothing that we can do to help them but grieve. And these two are the sweetest thing I've ever seen. I have seen so many amazing stories about donkey’s - including this one! They have done so much for humanity, they are smart AND tough as nails! Watching them defend herd’s from dangerous predators, as well as seeing them PLAY and express great JOY. If I ever have the opportunity to live in the country… first on my list for a refuge is some donkey’s 😊.

I'm obsessed with miniature donkeys. I would visit a farm that had a few, and I would sit outside their pen just talking to them. In time, they knew who I was and would come running over when I came. The pen was open enough on 3 sides, so they could easily come over to me. They loved being scratched and spoken to. Those sweet faces, long eye lashes, and happy "he haws" when they saw me made my day.
