Hello Mike, I just subscribed and was looking for the other videos you mentioned. I can only see nine videos and no vids about the steel roller you mentioned. [EDIT] I found your Mystic Smokers site and will check that out.

More videos please. With your style, you could easily develop a large following. There's a lot of people out there like me who like a calm straightforward informative delivery. I'm not into these loud animated people. I'm working on my first smoker. I've mapped it out. Gonna fill it back up with water and start cutting. I'd like to see you do some cutting videos, cooking, paint, etc. I do body work on cars for a living but I can see where fabbing on these tanks could be a fun lucrative hobby.

Thank you very much. Kind words like that certainly help keep me motivated. The entire build of this 325g is filmed. I'm editing the various episodes now and should be able upload at least one per week. The editing process is extremely time consuming. I had put off doing this series for some time because I've always had so many projects going. Finally, I realized things will never slow down and I just need to make the time. It helps that this is a "personal cooker" so it's not facing a hard deadline. I will have the first Stack/collector episode out in a couple of days. Cutting the hole for the stack collector is my next step. I install the bottom collector plate and then move on to doors and the firebox. That plate is used to adjust and lock the cooker in place on the rotisserie build table for other processes. Spoiler alert: I've done several cooks on this 325g so far and it is by far my favorite layout configuration. The small right side door has turned out to be far more versatile than I imagined. Utilizing that "hot spot" as a smoking/grill area has been very nice. Having two (upper and lower) slide out grates gives you tremendous flexibility. Anyway, there are many episodes to come on this project. I'm starting on the Santa Maria with brasero next week. It will mount on the trailer just behind the 325g and then of course the trailer and wood box episodes will follow. Meanwhile, there are many unedited clips on my Facebook profile that may help you out. In addition, my website mysticsmokers.com has several videos under the Videos and Resources tab. Don't hesitate to reach out through the mysticsmokers website or on Facebook Messenger if I can help in any way with your build. Thanks again, Mike

Do you your tank with water in. It

No sir. Here's my process: This is my method: 1. Make sure it's empty. 2. Remove the valves and vents. 3. Dump one gallon of cheap dish soap inside. 4. Add one quart or so of bleach and fill it about 5 or 6 inches with water. It's just enough to cover the bottom good. That's where all the greasy mercaptan will have settled to. This step will pay off later. 5. Allow to sit for a few days if you have time. If you can pull it around on a trailer, that helps shake the soap up. Otherwise, reach in with a broom handle and stir a few times. 6. Fill to overflowing with water while on level ground. Make sure the water completely fills the tank and flows out the top. 7. Sometimes, I like to use a carbide holesaw and drill a 4 inch hole where my collector will be. That allows me to put a pressure wash wand in there and help flush that mercaptan off the bottom surface where it settled over the years. Use a cordless drill to avoid electrocution!!!! 8. Drain and begin your tank layout process. Watch my video series for tips. kzbin.info/aero/PLOAnrxoOXhlcen4bnoxXA1KwQM6aUkyQP
