I was in Neptune.. Once met two AMAZING DDs respectively. While my smoke was about to disappear, they came to smoke-cover me with very perfect/professional timing. I was shocked and truly appreciated them.

Yep looks like my playstyle. I got in mine 250k damage in 1 match so far. Working to get above 300k. The Mino is a giant DD with crazy guns but AP only. So my most played ship. Now I went onto Hindy and love it. So 2 ships with 19point Cap. Insane xp and credit earners. I get more credits from my Mino and Hindy then my premium Kutuzov.

Kudos to this player for a fantastic battle! To all of the whiners: if Minotaur is so easy to play, why is the average win rate 2nd to last of T10 cruisers and below 50%? This is no Belfast (57% winrate and highest in every stat of T7 cruisers if you ignore the Flint). Minotaur is really difficult to play well. Yes this guy had some bozo opponents, but he would've been dead without the Fletcher's perfect smoke. And how many of you could capitalize on his luck the way he did? None.

TuxPenguin nice playing man. The Minotaur is my favorite ship and the only one with a 19 point captain. I enjoyed the rage in the comments - I'd be willing to bet most of them have never played the Minotaur and most definitely have no idea how easy it is to blind fire a smoked up Minotaur and farm glorious Citadels.... Btw - can I borrow your enemy Team?

Fletcher was great, Mino was great. Enemy not very clever. So what? Deserved victory and tons of xp and credits. Deserved, too! Yes, a Minotaur can spam as hell, but she is dead in the moment she gets spotted. I know what im talking about. Nevertheless : I love that ship. Well done TuxPenguin!!

These videos like this make me chuckle. Here we have a guy that can destroy the enemy team, and no one focus fires on the Mino. I jump in that ship and every single ship within range of the Min's guns takes aim and deletes me. Taking cover is no help, A Woos, or DM just lights it up. I'm only about 15 games into it, but I'm running under %40 win rate in it. Sad that it took so long to get. The damn shells have more hang time than a 80 year old peen.

Little Girl yeah agree to 100%, but apperently this is what wows think is fun and challenging gamestyle. Zon they will give the UK cruisers HE for more pissing- uself-behind- islands- or-smke and spam for those realistic burn a BB down. You ll be happy to know that they' ll make it so when someone is in smoke and he fires his guns, his spotting range will bloom depending on the caliber of his guns. So a minotaur will probably have like a 7-8 klm spotting range while in smoke and firing. So yeah they re getting a nice nerf

as a BB player, i hate CL that sits in the smoke and spam shells, but this one, steel balls sitting right in the middle with out islands as cover, if i was the BBs, I would give a blind shot into the smoke :| fair play thou! nice trops!

I just got only few games with smoke minotaur to realize much more fun is radar minotaur - this is how you get skills. You learn how to angle, how to dodge salvos, how to hunt down dds.

This kind of sitting in smoke and spamming gameplay is so fun and engaging. There is no doubt that this kind of gameplay requires some steel balls and brilliant skills. WG should definitely reward it and encourage everyone to do so. LOVE IT A LOT. Pls WG, make MORE of this kind of ships.

The only thing ridiculous was the enemy team failing to recognize the minotaur threat. No counters with torps, no counters with radar/ sonar, not a single enemy trying to blindfire. They all sail past the mino with broadside shown and oblivious to his presence and torps. You saw what happened when Montana shot him ONCE.

yep, anytime there is a mino on an enemy team, i don't let them breath. i constantly harass them with threats of cits. Anytime they are spotted i launch salvos at them even in smoke.

It is balanced & quite unique actually. In the meta where gameplay is focused on tanky BB & HE spamming CA at T10, the Minotaur relies on positioning & being smart with smokes. It also helps friendly US DD not in division provides extra smoke cover to make Minotaur even more effective.

They made a mistake when the released RN cruisers like this, pretending that historical accuracy is important for them. If that was the case, the Yamato armour would suck, the Khabarovsk would not exist and carriers should have ruled the seas even by themselves. Its very asinine, honestly. I was going to try the radar build, but somehow something doesnt feel right. The danger of being one shot all the time is too high honestly. Just makes the game boring. Now they want to nerf smoke. Well, why the &#$@ did you release smoke cruisers in the first place, then? The same thing happened with stealthfire. Why was it even in the game in the first place? Now people depend on it, and suddenly its not good anymore? How stupid is this! Still, I gotta say Warships is their best product. They honestly could have done far worse.

I sense that all these potatoes complaining about fun and engaging gameplay have 0 clue about how frustrating it can be to make this ship work and do well. They probably don't even have a Fiji. There were at least 5 ships literally asking to get raped in this replay. The problem is not balance. It is the lack of brain cells in 50% of the players at the very least.

British CL are high gain high loss ships. Get into flanking position and smoke up, then you can punish broadsides while they angle towards the brunt of the allied forces. Too bad majority of players (coming from shooter I reckon) believe the only way to play is full frontal assault & look down on "camping" which is perfectly fine in naval combat. No wonder random battles is a brain-dead brawl than an actual team coordinated effort.

Agreed.. personally, I got to the Neptune and that actually killed my interest in the line due to the giant citadel and the generally large ship which becomes an issue when coupled with the higher accuracy of BBs at those tiers

the most that I have done in the Minotaur is 122,000 in damage but British cruisers are really fragile. I like to brawl and will charge.

why do ppl complain so much about smoke your in a t10 game if you want to beat a mino in smoke THEN USE TORPS force him out of smoke communicate this to your team so they can be ready to shoot him or even better LEARN HOW TO AIM INTO SMOKE its not a brick wall you know shells can still connect in smoke i routinely citadel RN cruisers in smoke especially a mino because its constant rate of fire is a big fkn marker as to where it is in smoke . Instead of complaining how about use your fkn head and learn to play .

honestly wtf even, most of the damage was from 6000 salvos against battleships....wut? smallest t10 cruiser guns in game somehow get reliable salvo damage and 3.2 second reload. by that stupid logic a yammy with 20 of these turrets would be the best thing ever

I have been in WoWs since the end of open beta, so this is most definitely true.
