Beautiful locs and skin.❤ I was just trying to figure out why I like certain peoples locs, apparently small frizzy sisterlocs look perfect to me.😊 😊 Yeah, you can't tell from a distance they are locs.

I love your hair! So I am 11 months into my journey and I seen a video from another KZbinr who said braiding your hair at night helps with the frizz. I have been doing it and have seen it reduce the frizz but it’s not completely gone. I take as my hair just grows against or outside the loc.
@ambyressence2 жыл бұрын
I hadn’t thought about braiding my hair at night!! I’m sure that would help a lot! But phew 😮💨 I don’t want to have to worry about that haha. I agree with you, I think my hair grows outside of the loc pattern too- and that’s okay with me 😊

I’ve just watched you 1st wash without braiding & banding & you comment on the thickness of your locs…. Omg look @ them now..: texture all day long. I’m trusting the process as you’re proof it works 😊

Great video. Sometimes that bunching occurs if the locs have some spaces in them and the shed hair travels down the loc. Dr. Bronner is harsh! The pH level is too high to use long term.
@kushdoll91652 жыл бұрын
Do you still braid and band? If not how far along in your journey did not need to any longer.

Also, I got sisterlocks over traditional locs for the exact same reason...thinking I was gonna be getting box braids, wearing wigs, etc. Over 2 years in the game & I've done NONE of that lol

Thanks for the update on your locs they looks great! Glad you mentioned Dr. Bronners drying your hair out I think that’s why my hair has been dry lately. I switched to that from the green tea shampoo. I don’t think I saw a picture or the name of the one you use now. I think I’ll switch 🤔😍
@ambyressence2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching!! 💕💕 Yes- I bet that’s causing your dryness. Everyone seems to love Dr. Bronner’s, so I wanted to love it too! It got my hair really clean, but it stripped every last bit of moisture out haha. 😩 The one I use now is the Pacifica Rosemary Clarifying Shampoo. I love it. It smells amazing, has clean ingredients, and leaves no buildup 🤩.

I am 30 months in and I still 2 strand twist my hair before washing. When I don’t, I get bunching and sometimes even slippage still

Your hair type looks like mine. I have bunching in the back but I think it is due to the fine texture of my hair. I religiously braid and band but to no avail. I have decided to leave them alone and have noticed that they are starting to smooth out on their own.
@kushdoll91652 жыл бұрын
Well I forgot to add to you braid and band at night I have bunching in the back I think it’s because I don’t braid at night

How are you feeling now?? I started out with almost 500 locs 3 years ago and was sad I didn't have even more at that time! Once I started doing my own reties though?? I started combining left and right to get me closer to a lower number and now I'm at about 400. If you ever plan to do your own reties, 349 is a GREAT number!

@@bbkix since my hair has been growing, we’ve added a few around the edges and now I’m up to 355 or so, and for some reason I am fine with that lol. I’m just watching it flourish and enjoying the journey. Almost 8 months in🤎
