I would like to share my views while also directing some questions to freemasons following these comments here. 1. What is your take on the claim that freemasonry is built upon the stated 4 esoteric laws? I ask because in a comment above by sleepingdragonsbutler who states that he is a 32nd scottish rite mason, he has never heard them being mentioned. That is quite a mega statement. What is your own experience as a freemason? 2. In my own life's journey I have never joined any lodge. Bred a Christian I took up eastern philosophy and the yogic lifestyle big time when I was 18, and thereby have been exposed to an ocean of esoteric knowledge and wisdom, and the 4 laws mentioned are very familiar to me, since they also form the foundations of the yogic life which which seeks self realisation and ultimate liberation. In yogi philosophy we are made familiar with the age old esoteric paths which are diplomatically referred to as the left hand path and the right hand path. They are very similar in knowledge picked up along the way, but they differ in that the left hand path is the path chosen by the ego, for personal gain, while the right hand path seeks union with the Supreme by rising above the ego and otherwise foresaking other forms of personal gain. The main issue all along has been that the left hand path has sought to deceive people into thinking that it is a noble and commendable path, and it is very good at that. So how could one determine whether the path one is following, be it through a lodge or a religion or a Guru is indeed the noble right hand path? 3. "By their deeds you shall know them". Is that not all we non freemasons have to go by in the end? The documentary here has painted freemasonry in an extremely good light, especially since it claims that is built on those 4 esoteric laws. But for those of us on the outside, including those of us pursuing esoteric knowledge outside of freemasonry, what deeds do we see? We see secrecy. We hear of secret oaths to protect other masons at all costs. Where would that put a judge when deciding a case against a fellow mason? We hear of back scratching, in order to climb the social ladder. I have heard of this from persons I know who are masons. Are they lying? We hear of infiltration of the lodges by powerful forces who have subverted them. Dark forces have always sought to infiltrate and control all institutions, be they political or religious. Why should we think that they have not also infiltrated the highly organised and influential lodges of freemasonry? These are the questions we need to have answered. And finally, considering the enormous reach and influence of freemasons over all institutions of government and finance, one would have expected by now to see a world more guided by the stated 4 esoteric laws. Instead, we see anything but service to humanity and balance, in the face of enormous disparity in wealth which is concentrated in the very view at the top, many of whom are most likely freemasons. We see politics conducted through fear. We see enormous brainwashing of the masses, rather than a filtering down of knowledge by the freemasons. We see economies built on war machines, when a tiny fraction of military budgets could fill the entire world with so many more schools and hospitals. we see over production of food while parts of the world are left severely lacking in basic resources. we see unimaginable levels of corruption of public officials worldwide. Who is doing the corrupting? Can we say hand on heart that the hundreds of thousands of people worldwide who sit at the top of the pecking order who are freemasons are not corrupting public officials and elected leaders? This is the thing. Freemasons are so numerous in the upper echelons of society, both in terms of wealth and power. Yet all these noble principles that we see espoused in a form of marketing of freemasonry may have served them personally, but it certainly does not appear to the observer like they have served to create a better world for the general population. So again, by their deeds you shall know them. Are there any freemasons out there who could convincingly make a case that the general body of freemasons worldwide, with all its secrecy, is really making the world a better place for anyone other than themselves? The highest degree in Freemasonry is the 3rd degree, that of a Master Mason. The 33rd and any other 'superiorly' numbered degree is an appendant degree to the 3rd degree and not superior to the 3rd degree. The 33rd degree is part of the Scottish Rite and is honorary. No secrets are revealed in it. Nothing is worshipped in Freemasonry nor are curses uttered and there is no chanting. Freemasonry is not a religion either.

Let me break it down for you, it's a WORLDWIDE thing and the "grand architect of the universe" is a place holder for whatever major religions deity that country has. So the US and Europe is mostly the Christian God since its the major religion, just like India will gave Krishna,and Muslims have....you guessed it, Allah since iys their main deity. Its not a religion, but you jave to be religious or else it wouldn't amount to anything. Satanists and atheists can't join becuase satanism is mostly about putting yourself first (and therefore neglects masonic teachings of helping others) and being an atheist wouldn't have a reason becuase if you arnt religious then the teachings that we teach (which are universally in every religion since they all teach peace and charity to help others) then the point is mute. As a cheistian I went in a strong follower, and as the highest degree I can go in the lodge I'm even stronger in my wall with God becuase it taught me to be selfless and the importance of helping those who need it. What is your experience? In my own life's journey I have never joined any lodge. Bred a Christian I took up eastern philosophy and the yogic lifestyle big time when I was 18, and thereby have been exposed to an ocean of esoteric knowledge and wisdom, and the 4 laws mentioned are very familiar to me, since they also form the foundations of the yogic life which which seeks self realisation and ultimate liberation. In yogi philosophy we are made familiar with the age old esoteric paths which are diplomatically referred to as the left hand path and the right hand path. They are very similar in knowledge picked up along the way, but they differ in that the left hand path is the path chosen by the ego, for personal gain, while the right hand path seeks union with the Supreme by rising above the ego and otherwise foresaking other forms of personal gain. The main issue all along has been that the left hand path has sought to deceive people into thinking that it is a noble and commendable path, and it is very good at that. So how could one determine whether the path one is following, be it through a lodge or a religion or a Guru is indeed the noble right hand path? "By their deeds you shall know them". Is that not all we have to go by in the end? The documentary here has painted freemasonry in an extremely good light, especially since it claims that is built on those 4 esoteric laws. But for those of us on the outside, including those of us pursuing esoteric knowledge outside of freemasonry, what deeds do we see? We see secrecy. We hear of secret oaths to protect other masons at all costs. Where would that put a judge when deciding a case against a fellow mason? We hear of back scratching, in order to climb the social ladder. I have heard of this from persons I know who are masons. Are they lying? We hear of infiltration of the lodges by powerful forces who have subverted them. Dark forces have always sought to infiltrate and control all institutions, be they political or religious. Why should we think that they have not also infiltrated the highly organised and influential lodges of freemasonry? These are the questions we need to have answered. And finally, considering the enormous reach and influence of freemasons over all institutions of government and finance, one would have expected by now to see a world more guided by the stated 4 esoteric laws. Instead, we see anything but service to humanity and balance, in the face of enormous disparity in wealth which is concentrated in the very view at the top, many of whom are most likely freemasons. We see politics conducted through fear. We see enormous brainwashing of the masses, rather than a filtering down of knowledge by the freemasons. We see economies built on war machines, when a tiny fraction of military budgets could fill the entire world with so many schools and hospitals. This is the thing. Freemasons are so numerous in the upper echelons of society, both in terms of wealth and power. Yet all these noble principles that we see espoused in a form of marketing of freemasonry may have served them personally, but it certainly does not appear to the observer like they have served to create a better world for the general population. So again, by their deeds you shall know them. Are there any freemasons out there who could convincingly make a case that the general body of freemasons worldwide, with all its secrecy, is really making the world a better place for anyone other than themselves?
