Hi Justine. You and Natasha Foote (New Zealand) are riding the same wave, turning paper scraps into cards of beauty. Thanks for sharing your inspirations. Take care. Blessings💜

This is the best video I have seen regarding using paper pads or patterned paper. You were very quick, and right to the point. But my favorite part is that you didn’t put any sentiments or anything on the front of the card. You simply just gave ideas on how to use the paper. This truly was a great video. Now I have to wait till next Monday for the next part. Lol. Thank you for sharing 😊🤗

I’m new to cardmaking and I find paper packs soooo intimidating! I know I’m “ALL the colors and ALL the patterns ALL the time!” by nature. So I couldn’t find a way to deal with all those pretty paper packs that wouldn’t be an assault on the receiver’s eyeballs. So thank you for a system I can follow!

If you put your piece of vellum on a double sided adhesive sheet or roll, it will cover the entire vellum in adhesive.

I see you are using a liquid adhesive. When I use any it makes the paper a bit wavy or it shows circles where the glue is. Does this happen for you?
@ellenbornstein72032 жыл бұрын
if your glue has a high water content that will happen. Bearly Arts,Gina K , Ranger make craft glues with lower water content.
@justinehovey2 жыл бұрын
Exactly what Ellen said, either your paper is super thin (like printer copy paper) or the water level is too high. That often happens with "cheaper" glue. Ellen's suggestions below are great. I also love Tombow in the green bottle and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive

How do you attach your vellum without glue or tape showing? I always struggle with making it look clean.
@justinehovey2 жыл бұрын
I usually add some elements to it like die cuts and glue behind them. Someone here suggested using a large adhesive roll, it’s it’s the same size as your cardstock you shouldn’t be able to see it. Looking forward to trying it out.

I made 10 cards of pattern #1 and I really enjoyed the process of preparing everything. My pattern paper looks distressed so I used kraft-cardstock card fronts. I'm so appreciative of the time you put into this card series.Thanks so much Justine.🌷🌷

I'd love to see this kind of video which doesn't rely on people having die cuts and die cutting machines, because those are expensive and take up more room than a pair of scissors. It's always great to have more ideas, but I know I haven't got the equipment to do most of these. Edit: I'm glad that these ones didn't involve dies or stamps. The colours were beautiful!

Justine, this is such a spectacular video! I learned so many different ways to use my 6' stack of design paper! You are AMAZING! Sorry. I have another question...when I use liquid adhesive, sometimes a little bit oozes out. (Even if I don't put it on the edge of the paper.) It leaves a mark on my cardstock/patterned paper. Is there a way to get rid of the mark? I know about hiding it when possible. Sometimes that isn't possible!
@STRAHAN502 жыл бұрын
I use the Matt Medium for gluing and it doesn’t leave any residue if it oozies out. Check Natasha Foote YouTue as she only uses this glue.
@justinehovey2 жыл бұрын
I would suggest using a matte glue firstly, and there are adhesive erasers out there (they look like hard yellow sponges). They work well for the most part
