The exploitation of foreign drivers is going to ruin this industry and I'm not talking about just for us drivers, but they will take down mega carriers too. Why pay a solo driver 50 cents with a year commitment when you can go to any of these law offices you see advertising and get 3 drivers for 50 cents total and a 3 year commitment? They can run 24/7 and it only costs these carriers 50 cents because they're all 1099. They're out here running all the dry van and reefer freight down to $1 a mile and still making profit because they're operating on 1,000+ miles a day. You have to go hazmat now to mitigate that competition because hazmat is one of the things they can't get. I don't see none of the bullshit since I've switched to tanker and I'm not seeing anything less than $3 a mile either.

I see no less than $2k and I barely drive anymore tbh. Lotta paperwork though But no seriously you need to be able and willing to what others either can’t or won’t to survive these days.
