(343) Feather string pull / Swipe / Balloon dip / Fluid art / Acrylic pouring techniques

I tried to do a feather string pull on a white base mixed with polyurethane satin varnish, but I didn't like it (maybe I should leave it ;) ). So I swipe it and did some balloon dips. I kind of like the result, so I decided to keep this one.

I mixed my paints with my pouring medium:
- 4 parts pva craft glue
- 4 parts acrylic primer
- 2 parts acrylic binder
My mixing ratio is 1 part paint to 2 - 3 parts pouring medium and water to consistency.
For the white base I mixed my pouring medium with titanium white and polyurethane satin varnish in 10:1 ratio.

'Nice to see how you do things and make decisions. You seem to know when to change plans or move on. That's something I need to learn. This painting is also very lovely, as are all of your paintings! You have a wonderful eye for color, and this feather is no exception..and, best of all, you did exactly what I do when a painting bears no resemblance to what was in my minds eye.......you went for a swipe, that’s also my go to when I can’t find resolution.....but your balloon kisses are a definite improvement on mine..At least you can’t go to bed angry because you didn’t try every trick in the book! As always, I think the flowers are beautiful. If you decide to pour over them, maybe dip your cabochons on the flowers for jewelry before they dry.

I loved watching the flowers you made on a black canvas with a balloon wrapped in a dry napkin. I love the softness that sometimes occurred and wonder wether dampening the napkin just slightly would leave more color on the painting? Just a question from observing the process.

I really love it!!! The colors are so light and soft. I once had the same problem with gold. I waited like 2 Hours or so to let the pait settle a littel. Then I took my smalest ballon and dipped it into a thicker gold paint then I usually use and dipped it then into the middle of the Flowers I already had. Worked great for me. XOXOXO Oh, I almost forgot to ask: what do you use to get these amazing cloud effects?
