(348) Feather STRING PULL ~ I'm still struggling ~ Acrylic pour painting

Feather string pull is an acrylic pouring technique, that I'm still struggling with. Maybe I just have to do it some other way, but I want to see, if it works with layering paints on canvas this way.
I love the colours, so I will try with damped sting and then pulling it on canvas. ;)
Colours:
- Black
- Pearl white
- Permanent violet
- Alizarian violet
- Gold
My pearl white mixture:
1 part Vallejo pearl medium
1 part titanium white
2 parts pouring medium
I mixed my paints with my pouring medium:
- 4 parts pva craft glue
- 4 parts acrylic primer

My mixing ratio is 1 part paint to 2 - 3 parts pouring medium and water to consistency.

I love this! Using the skewer to enhance made all the difference - I learned a lot with that. Love the colors on the black background - the white gave it some great highlights.

The looks so like a natural feather with little bits missing as so often happens with them and the white touches are also very life like as birds so often have patches of white... lovely Fiona... love it... :)

I do it with parcel string . The one you buy in a ball 😉

Try with a chain, it works better and you have more control over the pull.

You are being too hard on yourself. This is a great feather, the colors are wonderful. You might want to try not lifting your string up so high at the end. I think pulls work much better with a small ball chain than yarn. I like the pearl and the second pull that brought out some black on the one side. It actually gives the feather more balance in the colors. Your embellishment was the perfect touch. Thank you for your videos, I enjoy watching them.
