Your right, you can't loose using blue. I use to work as an electronic assembler. We had to work in Class 100 Clean Room conditions. The area was cleaner than an operating room. The tiniest speck of dust can ruin an integrated circuit. You might try making a dust cover over your work station. Thats what a fellow who does epoxy resin pours. He actual bought a portable outdoor cover to set up over his work. Complete with see through mesh for the walls. I believe the mesh was meant to keep bugs out. It's some thing to concider.
@LouiseMcKayArt7 ай бұрын
Thank you Ozwald 💙for being here again. Good input and I do put a mesh tent over the work area before as I showed and after I’ve resined. It works well, it’s just the in process where some dust might get in. Thanks for leaving your thoughts!

I am totally enchanted and captivated by your art, Louise! I’m new to acrylic pouring - that’s a euphemism for never yet having poured anything! 🙂 I’m gradually accumulating things that I need to get started, and your videos and tutorials are profoundly helpful! I can’t begin to thank you enough for sharing your wisdom and talent! I try to glean as much information as I can from the descriptions, but I’m hoping you can give a more explicit description of the tiles that you get from Home Depot, ie, maker/manufacturer, bar code, anything? I drove 40 miles to our nearest Home Depot yesterday, and the only tiles they could show me were about $1 each (!!) It’s possible that they just didn’t stock them there, but I couldn’t find them online either at the price point here in your tutorial. Help??
@LouiseMcKayArt7 ай бұрын
Ok 👍🏼 M, I looked up Home Depot and believe this is it, 100 count case is $15.98, white tile: Restore Bright White 4-1/4 in. x 4-1/4 in. Ceramic Wall Tile (12.5 sq. ft. / Case) If I may suggest something to you, the Bloom technique is a little more advanced, especially because there are so many variables in it. You may want to try a straight pour or open cup first to get a feel for how the paint works how to move the paint around, etc. I don’t want to discourage you from the bloom, but it is a little bit involved, even though it might look fairly simple when watching. Get the tiles tho, you’ll be needing them anyway!!
@LouiseMcKayArt7 ай бұрын
If you live anywhere near floor and decor, they have the best prices, around $11 a box of 100
@mmohler92797 ай бұрын
I can’t thank you enough, Louise! There is a floor & decor about 70-80 miles from here. And I understand that it takes a LOT of experience to reach your level. I’m happy to try starting more easily and working up. I just am so enthralled by your talent that I love watching your videos! And it seems that tiles could be used to practice the more simple pours, so I thought I would try those and small canvases to start. Thank you for making the time to give me answers!

You bet, just so you know I started 3 years ago… I was switching from technique to technique every week and that’s a big mistake. Dive into something for a bit to get the hang of it then branch out. I was between 3 techniques that needed 3 different consistencies and recipes and it was hard. I poured over a lot, a lot of small canvases and times for practice!

Hi Susan, I honestly don’t know. I’ve looked at both the cans and they both read exactly the same a high gloss interior and exterior base c. that must be tinted or high gloss paint and primer. So aside from looking at fine print I don’t know I’ve never used the 25, but I even went to the Shelley Art group and saw that somebody was using the 25 with varnish so all I could say is give it a whirl.
