Agreed!! Hello! I am a Milwaukee bassist, had the pleasure of playing with Daryl back in the early 1990’s, and covering your tremendous bass parts from his album! Was a treat to gig with Daryl! Amazing! Thank Leland for your contribution!!🎶

What a great guitarist. From the Jean Luc vinyl days in the 70s( wow! )Genesis Duke etc .until now. Still my favorite guitar hero. The Fender video of Daryl doing Land of confusion is an electric guitar bomb! The control when he attacks and hits the notes is beyond words. Treat yourselves if you haven't watched. Many many more Daryl; please. Love your beautiful work through the years also Leland . Good health

I played the “Steppin Out” album all the time back in the day…”Anthem” was one of my favorites. Used to see Daryl down at Shank Hall in Milwaukee. Him, Mark Torroll, Kostia. He’d do a killer instrumental of “Squonk”, and seeing that was what got me into all the old Genesis stuff. He lives about 10 minutes away from where I live, and it would be so great to run into him some day. I met you Lee in ‘93. You were in town with Tracy Chapman and were sitting right behind me at the Spinal Tap show at the Riverside Theater. You were so nice talking to me about Phil, etc. I thought this is awesome, I’m sitting here just me and Leland Sklar having a cool conversation. Then I turn around and a mob of people are closing in…as they also noticed Leland Sklar sitting there as well! Thanks so much for being you. Scott

Hey Leland, this is Rohan. Last weekend, I saw Phil with Genesis, Live at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Daryl was there, with Phil's son Nic on the drums. That was the second time I saw Phil perform live in Philadelphia. The first time I saw Phil was live at the Spectrum for his Serious Tour in 1990. You, Daryl and Chester were there.

If you had to pick only one song to establish Darryl’s credibility as a monster musician then it would be New Country on Jean Luc Ponty ‘s Imaginary Voyage album. Such a major guitarist. What i love about him is that he doesn't have to pretend and put an all production when he plays ( well i'm also a huge admirer of Prince as a musician and with that he was completely the opposite of someone like Daryl ) for me he's on the same vibe as someone like David Gilmour. At the first notes you can tell it's him and it's the same with Daryl Steurmer, same overwhelming talent. Speaking of great musician and guitarist, as i know this community is one who loves music with an open mind i would like to share a link to a young musician friend of mine from Switzerland. I'm 51 and he's probably one of the most gifted musician i ever saw of his age ( early 20's ). He's starting to have a good reputation in great britain where he tours often. So here's a short live performance of his : kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4WpZ5WYbJmoZtE
