日向の榧ですね。将棋盤、囲碁盤の最高級品とされる木材です。 天地柾の7寸盤とかになると1000万円前後になることもあります。 この榧は残念ながらまだ小さすぎますね。あと300年、いや500年待てなかったのでしょうか。 屋久杉とともに伐採は禁じられたとも言われてるので、自然倒木になったんでしょうか。
