It is NOT a DOG, you doughnuts. It's literally a pest. One coyote can kill every calf in the pen, every chicken in the coop. Plus, they'll bait and switch and kill YOUR dog by drawing them out into the brush and surrounding them. But hey, head out there some night and see if you can pet them and give them belly rubs. We used to hear coyotes on my grandparents' property in rural Illinois. Made my skin crawl when it sounded like dozens of coyotes descending on their farm in the dark of night. Coyotes are an absolute nuisance to ranchers. Because coyotes will actively hunt your livestock such as cattle, chickens, goats, whatever you may have. Coyotes will also decimate your local deer, rabbit, and bird populations. When hunters help maintain the populations of predators in their environment, they give a chance for other keystone species to thrive. Many species would be extinct today if we did not hunt these predators.

Never heard of deer calls being restricted. People antler rattle deer in. I suppose that would be illegal as well since it functions as a call. Non verbal, but still a sound designed to attract.

@joewoodchuck3824 Electronic callers are prohibited for most game animals. Hand held, or breath operated are usually not.
