Based on the first hadith you provided, if Muhammad (saws) knew they will not appoint Ali, why did he keep the likes of umar and abu bakr by his side? why did he not make it clear to the ummah that ali is the successor after me? surely if he (saws) knew they will plot against ali , he would have done something about it?

It is mentioned in multiple passages of the Holy Quran that the Prophet (SAWWA) was not there to control/compel them as there should be no compulsion in religion but only as a Warner and a Bringer of Glad Tidings, what the people did with their free will, it’s up to them, The Prophet (SAWWA) completed his Tasks and Delivered the Message, there is no blame for what came before and after him! @@haydvine7782 it wouldnt be controlling or compelling. rather it would be saving the religion of islam. dont the shia claim that after the prophets death islam went side ways? so why didnt the prophet (saws) during his life time make it completely and utterly clear that ali after me is your leader no questions asked. its almost an insult to the prophet (saws) , if the first and second caliph are hypocrites who are in hell fire, then the prophet was not wise enough to know this? why did he have both of them by his side his whole life? why didnt he get rid or expel them?

@@aotcage4253he did at Ghadeer. Unfortunately as soon as the leader is gone people tend to go astray. Everyone knew Imam Ali was the Prophet’s favourite and was to be the imam especially at Ghadeer. But as soon as he died Omar and Abu bakr decided to herd the people, while Imam Ali was tending to the funeral rights of his beloved uncle saw. Funny how people who claimed to love him sooo much were not at his side during his death and were instead making sure they could lead people to overturn a decision. Just like when Nabi Musa as left the people with everything and even prophet Harun as with them, but they still ended up worshipping the cow.

sunni here, never knew this hadith in musnad of imam ahmad. same with the narration in one of the seerahs (either ibn hisham or ibn ishaq) prophet SAW says Ali is his successor and the qurayshi leaders laughed as Ali rA was a kid at that time. i have come to the conclusion that there was more evidence pointing towards Ali rA. sure Abu Bakr rA was told to lead the prayer and prophet SAW said that he was his favorite other than Aisha rA (according to our sources) but in terms of successor, I have to say that the scripts favor Ali rA. i don't believe ghadir khumm was clearly anointing Ali rA as if it were everyone would've known that Ali rA is the one to be chosen nor is it explicitly stated successor imo. but these other texts do

On the day (of the battle) of Khaibar the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Tomorrow I will give the flag to somebody who will be given victory (by Allah) and who loves Allah and His Apostle and is loved by Allah and His Apostle." So, the people wondered all that night as to who would receive the flag and in the morning everyone hoped that he would be that person. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked, "Where is `Ali?" He was told that `Ali was suffering from eye-trouble, so he applied saliva to his eyes and invoked Allah to cure him. He at once got cured as if he had no ailment. The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him the flag. `Ali said, "Should I fight them till they become like us (i.e. Muslim)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Go to them patiently and calmly till you enter the land. Then, invite them to Islam, and inform them what is enjoined upon them, for, by Allah, if Allah gives guidance to somebody through you, it is better for you than possessing red camels."

Kid part doesn't make sense. He is the who captured khaibar and Umar fled from Khaibar. Only Imam Ali(a.s) was able to do that. Even with Khalid e Walid made up a mess with banu jamidha. Prophet sent imam Ali(a.s). About the age think, imam Ali was 32 when prophet passed away. Also our brother fine with Ayesha being 9 but 32 isn't upto the task.

Even Ali ibn Talib a.s is successor that's doesn't mean Abu Bakr, Omera and uthman were wrong or they weren't capble. They must have also known that Ali is successor but there were specific reasons and there was a specific time for Ali ibn Talib to be a Khalifa. What i believe that Allah wanted to make sure that last of the last testimony of the Caliphate should come from Prophet's house. And Caliphate should be ended on the family of Prophet a.s
