Hey Dan fill the hole for the spigot bearing with bread. Then tap a bolt into the hole just under the diameter of the bearing. Put more bread in then tap a bolt in there again. Once you've enough bread build up in there it'll push the bearing out because of the back pressure. Easier than what you done 😅

I don’t know if anyone has said. A really good trick for pilot bearings is wet toilet paper,( water) a hammer, and a punch close to the inner diameter of the bearing. Start squishing wet tp in the hole and use the punch, hydraulic pressure pushes the bearing out. Easy and works great with little mess.

Jerry fab nah they can only push under 300 hp or they will blow it up within a month. So it will either be over done and blow in a few weeks or way under done and last a few months. Either way they won’t be able to push serious power reliably on an sr20 the way they treat their lot cars. Hence why the options were seemingly put together by a fucking idiot. I mean really, a 13b in a lot car, blown in a few months max. Sr20 in a lot car, blown in a few months max. S52, blown within 6 months. The ls would’ve been the only engine that could push more power than the stock shot engine reliably. Atleast the sr20 is simple enough to rebuild. From the start there should’ve been no question what engine to swap though. A 1jz.

To remove pilot bering, old school. Tke a 3" or 4" bold whosse threds minor di. is slightly lrger than the ID of the pilot bearing. Mchine or gring off threads till it just fits into the pilot bearing. Fill the basck of the pilot bearing snd the cvity which it goes into with grease. Insert the modified bolt into pilot bearing. Hit head of bolt with hsmmer. Hydralic pressure will force the pilot bearing out.

You could of used wet paper and trans shaft or a bolt to remove pilot bearing. You stuff the wet paper behind the bearing and start tapping it and repeat process until it comes out. Worked for me on 00 Ford F-150
