I have the same quad, has over 3500 miles on it and I still use it as my main atv. Mine is still all stock, carb, fuel pump, engine, and it’s never given me an issue. If I were you, I'd just clean the carb, patch the snorkel, and enjoy it for what it is.

Nice atv. I just bought a Yamaha Kodiak 400 from a neighbor for a couple hundred. After I power washed it I realized the tires are new, body is great, oil looks new, brakes all work. Even the seat just has one small bad spot. It has about 10,000 miles but the neighbor said they had the dealer fix anything that ever broke.I ordered an ignition switch with keys. Supposedly it ran good five years ago then had carb leaking issues and they weren’t using it anymore so it sat. They wanted to give it to me but I insisted they take a few hundred. My brother in law gave me a nice 2006 Honda rancher 420 with only 160 hours on it last year. I just bought another 13.91 acres and now have 33.64 acres so plenty of room for driving these old machines around. Hopefully I can get this old 1999 Yamaha running. I learn a lot from watching your videos.

blk pull is choke side pull is summer winter setting, red is reverse, doesnt need a batt but must be in N to start. original fronts, cool

Idk Harvey. I think ya got a case of Hondaritis. If it was one of those you would have already had the carb off and rebuilt. I think that’s all this machine needs plus the fuel pump rebuilt or replaced and prob valves adjusted and she would run nice.

Do the Suzuki's have a ' prime ' setting on them ? For when they run outta gas. My uncle's suzuki had a prime setting on the fuel system. From what i can remember..i think...

There is no need to re engineer the wheel. Clean the carb and leave it alone,they are a pulse fuel pump and very rarely go bad.mustie just revived one of these with minimal effort.If you don't like the majority of the stuff on the quad what is the point of buying it?

The Honda TRX350 had a fuel pump also ! I would think a gas tank from a Honda TRX250 Fourtrax would work ?!?! The off-set on the front could be deeper to make it wider and just maybe the builds burnt out or the fuse popped ? Looks like perhaps the seat from a TRX250 might work also 🤷‍♂️ ! It does resemble a TRX250 doesn’t it !

I think you should walk away and not try to fix anything…ever….again! Go ahead convert it. Change it and make a simple machine over rednecked dumbass running machine. Don’t forget to add a thousand wire splices in also for no reason
