350z Z1 Exhaust Fly Bys & Revs

What is up guys I have had the Z1 single exit on my Z for a couple of months now and all I can say is I am super happy with the sound! Its perfect sounding and not too trumpety.

You're right about the test pipes. I have Tomei headers, Z1 test pipes, y-pipe, and single exhaust. Ton of rasp, and it's extremely loud. I generally just keep the silencer in it so it's quiet enough to listen to music.

How bad is it for daily driving? Is it still loud even if you’re babying the throttle? I’ve been watching KZbin videos on this exhaust (but we all know that it sounds a lot different in person)

swizzy his set up with the headers and test pipes is probably annoying as soon as you go past 2.5k rpms. I have a tomei on my z and its only annoying past 3-3.5k rpms, but i usually cruise at around 2.5k.

Debating between the z1 or isr single for my 08 z. This video sold me on the z1. Don’t plan on going test pipes or y pipe so this is perfect. Tomei is too loud and isr is too quiet. Thanks

Did you have any problems with the exhaust touching your bumper? I'm running Z1 test pipes, factory Y-pipe, and the Z1 single exhaust and my muffler is touching my bumper something serious. For some reason mine it to the right of the cutout in the bumper and to the left is about a inch difference. Otherwise than that the exhaust sounds awesome but I'm afraid of causing damage to my bumper if I can't correct this.

Doesn’t hang too low and I am pretty low, but I don’t scrape the exhaust at all

Would buying the z1 exhaust only and having a muffler shop weld customize 3 inch pipe be the same as oppose to buying the piping from z1?

I would say no because Z1 has made there exhaust to fit with the rear subframe so it doesn’t hit, Zs have common issue with that

I'm curious, why did you choose those tire sizes? Why not 275 all around? Not to bash or anything just wanted to know from another Z owner's experience. I run 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. I always say to myself 285 is too wide unless you're turbo'd.

Techtronic I personally have to say it’s personal preference, Tomei is more raspy/higher pitch and the Z1 is deeper tone, it does still drone on the hwy tho
