351C in a Fox body. Should have been a factory option. Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords was the best all-round HiPo Ford publication that ever rolled off a printing press. Great car, great presentation (as usual)!

Cool video. Cleveland’s Rock! I’ve had a few Cleveland’s in my Fox thru the years with Auto/Manual Transmission’s and the fun factor shifting a Cleve at 7,900 with an in-line Long shifter thru a G-Force trans with a 9” with 5.13 gears is a sweet feeling!! Currently running a Dart block 427” Weesor combo but I’ve been collecting parts for another high fun factor Cleveland combo in the future. Keep the videos coming! I love watching them.

The 351 Cleveland 4 barrel engine has 2.19 big block valves and was outlawed for NASCAR because the engine flowed too much air. NASCAR required the 2.08 small block intakes to race. Best Ford engine ever. Semi-Hemi.
@imtheonevanhalen1557
@imtheonevanhalen1557 17 күн бұрын
No, you're thinking Boss 429.....Cleveland was a wedge head
@factorvracing
@factorvracing 17 күн бұрын
@@imtheonevanhalen1557 I am thinking of a canted valve head such as the 351 Cleveland head. Thus a 2.19 intake valve from a big block Ford fits into the combustion chamber and is not a wedge head. A hemispherical combustion chamber is a combustion chamber in the cylinder head of an internal combustion engine with a domed "hemispheric" shape. An engine featuring this type of hemispherical chamber is known as a hemi engine. In practice, shapes less than a full hemisphere are typically employed, as are variations of a true hemispheric profile. Hemispheric's do not need a spark plug in the center of the combustion chamber like the 426 Dodge Hemi. The Boss 429 runs a spark plug in the top or side of the center in the combustion chamber. S.O.H.C. motors ran a top mounted spark plug. The 427 Ford SOHC semi ran upper plugs. All were canted and semi sale combustion chambers. I ran a 1971 Ford Torino station wagon in NHRA for years and was considered a semi and not a wedge. My engine was a 351 4v with closed chamber heads, similar to the Pantera engine.

Kooks headers are what I’m using with the performance welding merge collector. Can have them off in about 15 minutes, once you know the order on how they go in the car. The small valve head is plenty the bore and stroke. They actually flow well and have better velocity.

Fwiw, the D&D Ford Specialty place in Pa used to offer swap headers that fit great and we’re user friendly with install/remove. The Hedman swap headers are ok once you cut the flanges to install two at a time.
