Yeah I love mine it's really fun daily driver. This upgraded exhaust would cause me headaches real quick. Oh yeah and as an extra bonus you got "THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT MEET EMISSION COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR STREET OR HIGHWAY USE". But to each their own and I'm sure Kenny has so so much fun with his F40.

The bmw we had 7 years ago didn't have any issues either. And it was a misused (aka never got to get warm normally) long distance Autobahn clapper. The current 320d (other than some tech gizmos) doesn't offer anything more than the old one. I'd argue the g80's automatic we have atm shifts worse. @@makvist

BMW really massacred (the word is a bit strong) the 1 Serie design... It was such a cool compact/sport car, with its long hood and its inline 6. Looks like they turned it into a compact/family/small crossover car... Like so many cars nowadays, a jack of all trades but a master of none.

Swapping a 3 litre inline six with 340hp that drives the rearaxle for a 2 litre inline four with 306 hp that drives the front... Imagine swapping out a three litre six cylinder with 340 horsepower and 500nm driving the rear wheels for a two litre four with 306 bhp and 450nm with a front drive bias. Oh wait, BMW did. It's even worse when you realise the previous B58 engine is good for about 415 horsepower with a simple tune on stock hardware and 450bhp with a couple of relatively cheap bolt ons. The comedy of B58 and N55 owners arguing about which sounds best, and then this dismal farter replaces the creamy six cylinder noise. Well done for eliminating all the best 1 series unique selling points for something that is lost in the crowd of identical recipe cars. Pass.

Imagine not realising BMW is going where the money and high demand market is, there’s nothing wrong with a 4 cylinder, 4wd, 2.0L turbo engine. They’re fast, can sound alright, practical and has useable power. There’s a reason bmw wasn’t selling as many 3.0L 140i’s as the 2.0L competitors S3, golf r etc…

I believe Aishin home page says its 8 speed has torque limit at 480 NM. If you tune the engine too much(like this one) it will break. If that's the case that should not be considered unreliability.

I have had mine for a year now, put over 30k kms on it with no issues apart from a little thing with the gearbox which has been fixed already. I could actually experience xDrive very well this weekend on wet roads and snow and I can tell you that it is extremely well calibrated. You have probably never even driven one, but you should try. It’s a great car. It does lack in the sound department, but the rest is great.

@@innerhammer considering 4cyl engines, particularly square bore x stroke engines make torque to move planets no it’s not. There’s plenty of sr20’s that make less horsepower than this but 700nm. Mine only made 236kw at the wheels but the torque was astronomical for what it was.

@@youtubesbichasspolicys5888 Too much torque really kills gearboxes so your choices are a) keep the torque under the limit, or b) get maximum torque and upgrade the gearbox, or c) maximum torque and do nothing, let the gearbox eventually die. Sadly so many people choose c route and end up breaking the gearbox, and blame the gearbox not their stupidity.

As an M140i owner, I shouldn't like this, but that's not the case. I absolutely fucking hate it. It's just another boring AWD 2litre clone, for people who love racing from one set of traffic lights to the next. I think the interior quality is better than the M140i, but the dash layout is horrible. It sounds crap, the gearbox is lame, the engine is lame, BMW have lost the plot.
