Exactly, the emissions cap per brand meant 2019 MY S3's had to reduce by 10bhp or so and make even less noise. It's made the market for 2016-2018 S3 and Golf R cars become more sought after than new cars

I reluctantly sold my S3 Saloon last month after 2 years of ownership.. i know for a fact it was quicker than all of those cars. Audi has slowed it by 10bhp to meet new emissions guidelines. FireTwo I agree the golf r use to have 310hp 2019 Rolf r 288hp. The Audi s3 was 322hp now 292hp. I'm not to sure an the BMW and Mercedes tho. The new GTI is going to be 252hp to 288hp.

jamie campbell yeah the only mechanical update the s3 and golf r have had is to make them slower (from 310ps down to 300ps) and both had PPF fitted which slows them again.

Gregg B now has it gone backwards? It’s faster to 100 and has xdrive option now, that wasn’t available on the 140i in the u.k. So it’s faster all round than the U.K. 140i. It also gets better mpg while delivering those stats.

Somewhere Sunday That is completely wrong!! The M140i auto has a 0-60 of 4.6s, in uk 2wd format. The xdrive euro version does it in 4.4s or less. The new xdrive M135i takes 4.8s! After the initial start, the M140i absolutely annihilates the M135i all the way to the 155mph limit, due to the b58 engine. Have a look at the car wow ultimate hot hatch drag race from September 2019, you’ll see what it does to 300bhp cars over anything more than a 1/4 of a mile. It’s the fastest hatch bar the new spec RS3 and upcoming A45/A45S! The only improvement the new M135i has over the M140i is the interior, and traction in the wet. Against it is the horrible looks, engine, gearbox, boring drive, etc etc. There are many reviews slamming the new car if you look around on here and elsewhere.
