400,000 and still going lol. it's ugly, sounds terrible, but it's still going strong. amazing

it's also 170hp, and 220lb ft of torque. for comparison, a 3.8 Mustang in the early 90's was 140hp and 215 lb ft... a Pontiac V6 minivan more powerful than the Mustang from the time. the 90's were funny lol

My parents still drive us around in their 1994 Lumina APV as of June 22nd 2014 (sister car to the Pontiac Transport) and they bought it back in 1999 for $8 000 and I thought that was bad enough!!!

+David W It's actually not too far off from what a well-equipped minivan goes for today. $22,000 in 1991 is about $33,600 today, and he did say this was a loaded model (I can see it's an SE and they were fully equipped in the day, I think only the sportier GT was priced above it). By comparison a Grand Caravan R/T today starts at $33,495, so nearly the same. Also not sure where you're from but this is in Canadian dollars, in US dollars these would've retailed for much less in 1991.

+Tuneman1984 There's more in minivans now, but good point about canadian dollars. Might not've been too far off of the US price. From what I can see, base model was $16,500 in US dollars (sticker) back then. If it's loaded, I wouldn't be surprised if it got close to 22k. BLS (CPI) inflation would put that around $38k in the US, and it's not hard to get to 38K in the US (but the vans have more in them for that now - the lumina I rode in had a 3 speed transmission and wasn't very advanced powertrain wise, but the van itself was comfortable and a nice ride). Then again, there wasn't a whole lot of advanced stuff that was real nice back then, anyway. Most of the cars were still pretty plain. Maybe a testament to those vans is that when I try to look up sticker price information for a 1991 lumina APV, I get a bunch of for sale listings at used car dealers. Can't say that about many cars.
