The G32 &33 are my EDC guns. Nothing beats the 357 Sig for personal defense. Hopefully more people will see your 357 videos and it will get the attention it deserves. I personally carry the Underwood defense but either of these will get the job done. Thanks for the video.

Team Speer GoldDot here-- I love how consistently excellent each of these rounds are Edit-- anyone who doesnt have a .357SIG should get one. I firmly believe that if it were marketed as "9mm Magnum," it would have been much more successful

I've carried. 357 sig as my edc for over 25 years. And you are right, if marketed as 9mm magnum or .357 auto. Might have been more popular...

So I just ordered a 357 barrel for my P229. Any other pistols you would recommend for 357? For me, the P229 was just about the best handling with 40.
@joejones17795 ай бұрын
@@mechag9488I was a Deputy Sheriff for 27 years and a SWAT commander and firearms instructor. I did the ammo testing for the department for over 20 years. My duty gun was a g20 in 10mm, my off duty or edc was a g31 in .357sig. So I'm a little bit of a glock fan. I like the saying " they're the best at nothing, but good at everything " I would recommend a g31 or g22 in full size or g23 or g32 in compact. That's because you can have 3 calibers with them. .40 .357sig and even 9mm to practice cheaply. I will recommend alpha wolf conversion barrels. I have several and every one works flawlessly in my pistols. I hope that helps. Hope you have a wonderful day.
@kennethferguson42835 ай бұрын
Nice to see those velocities out of 4 inch barrels. That means out of a 4.5 inch barrel G31 the velocities of the HST and a Speer GD #54234 would both be in 357 Magnum territory. I have 5 inch and 6 inch 357 Sig barrels so I can get 357 Mag velocities or more with most any 357 Sig ammo.

I wish Underwood would load HST's in their 357Sig instead of Nosler.
@jmichaelcarbonniere95495 ай бұрын
That would be great but Federal is too insecure to let another company use their bullet. I don't know if Speer is back supplying Underwood with bullets again but if they ever do, that would be the load to go to! Cheers, jc

New AZA 357SIG vid in my feed always provides instant dopamine shot 😀Both of these LE offerings are underloaded compared to boutique rounds but are still solidly over the 500ft/lb minimum to achieve one-shot terminal ballistics...likely to maximize follow-ups and reduce wear and tear on duty pistols.

Great test, AZ! Ok, when it comes down to it there isn't enough difference between these two to say one is better than the other but personally, I will always stick with the bonded Gold Dot, although I don't see where you could go wrong with the HST. Both are as effective as a hollow point can get and it really is a toss up. Seriously, the more I see of the .357 Sig the more impressed I am by it and I honestly cannot understand why it isn't much more popular than it is! Let's face it, it just s&its all over the 9mm and make it look like a weak attempt at doing next to nothing! Honestly, the Sig is the King of .355" bullets! Maybe they should have called it 9mm Magnum (opps, already taken) or some other thing besides calling it a Sig? But they didn't so were stuck with King Sig! Whatever, it is the best in that diameter! Cheers, jc
