I can't believe this was 20 years ago! Tamara was a great Carly. Sarah was amazing as the originator and made me hate her so much! Tamara made me start to warm up towards Carly and Laura has an amazing ability to make me hate/love her. Very confusing but true testimony to their acting skills. Also, I miss Tony! They destroyed his character by the end but he and Tonia were a great couple. I miss these days of GH!

Carly has went through hell all year long in 2003. First with Ric blackmailing her. Falling through the ice saving Michael. Dealing with Sonny’s Bipolar disorder. Here’s the kicker Ric kidnapping and chaining her up in the panic room nearly 3 months in an attempt to steal her baby. Then Lorenzo rescuing her just to kidnap her himself. Not to mention Lorenzo stalking her. Carly’s more then one fatal death experiences leading up to her labor. And now this accidentally getting shot in the head while giving birth. 😢

Anyway, I don't believe that Morgan won't be back. Showrunners like to try and throw people off all the time so that when something happens, the viewers don't see it coming. I mean look at Jason. They literally hired a new actor to play the character because they didn't think Steve Burton was coming back, and then they had to scramble with this whole convoluted storyline in order to reintroduce the actor. Anything is possible on a soap. I'm holding out hope 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Or it would have to be a recast but Maurice Benard loves Bryan Craig's portrayal of Morgan and would likely accept a recast? Although I'm not sure Bryan Craig and tptb get along?

@@kristagerry8505 ideally it would be Bryan Craig (for me) but I love the character so much that I personally would be willing to accept a recast if worst case scenario happened. I mean if they can replace popular, long standing characters like Carly, Jason, Lulu, Nicholas, hell even Edward, then they can replace Morgan. But from what I've read, Bryan isn't against coming back to the show, and he and Maurice are still tight, so maybe he will rejoin someday? And I don't think Kelly will be a deciding factor. There are definitely ways to work around that.

I love Laura Wright's Carly. She brought humor and maturity to Carly and she's a great actress. So great that she won a daytime Emmy award for her portrayal of Carly. 4 different actresses have played the part of Carly and in my opinion the first Carly (Sarah Joy Brown), the 2nd Carly (Tamara Braun), and the 4th Carly (Laura Wright) all did a great job playing Carly. They each made Carly their own. I didn't care for the 3rd Carly (I think her name's Jennifer Bransford, not sure). I didn't think she was a right fit but that's just my opinion. I've been watching GH since I was a kid and it took me awhile to get used to Tamara Braun and Laura Wright but I eventually grew to love them both. All I'm saying is that it's hard to replace actors/actresses and get the audience to accept and enjoy them and I think Tamara Braun and Laura Wright both did a great job. I love the character of Carly Corenthos and I'm glad she's still around to enjoy all of her antics and adventures

Tamara was uptown Carly. She had an essence of elegance to her. Sarah gave Carly the power to fight back. Tamara gave Carly softer layers. Laura Wright molded her into all of it. She and Ted King we're great together on Loving. But the Nina betrayal is by far worse than everything else. I was a die hard Sonny and Carly fan. But there's one thing Sonny never did with Carly Put her first. It's past due for Carly to have a leading male that does just that. “Its not gonna fix what I did to her.” Yeah she had to see him in bed with Alrxis and be second to Alexis second to Laura. Second to Emily. Second to Liz. Second to Brenda. Second to Sam. She endured so much and yet she stood by Sonny. But this time, I think Maurice went too far with his sick requests to have another female into his storylines. There is nothing worse than seeing the person you love in bed with someone else. It taints *everything.* He didn't do it once, he did it twice. But Jason And Alcazar he has a fit? why? I loved these dreams she had because Carly deserves to be happy, and put first. Every woman does.

@branchestarot.. I completely agree with you. The whole Sonny and yeast infection Nina thing in Nixon Falls wasn't even good writing. Idk who's writing now but it's not like the storylines in the 90s and 2000s. I used to be the biggest Carly and Sonny fan but as I've gotten older I've realized that Sonny is an asshole. He treats women like property, he can do whatever he wants but Carly better not do it, he has kids with how many women now? I used to get so angry at Carly when she would do things without thinking first but now I don't really blame her. Her voice should be heard and her opinions should matter. He constantly pushed her away and then when she gets on with her life with someone else he all of a sudden loves her and can't live without her. It's almost like he wants her to need and want him. The whole yeast infection Nina thing was so disrespectful and hurtful to Carly. Most women wouldn't forgive something like that. They'll get back together. They always do. I just hope that Carly has the upper hand the next time around and @kellyanndean9374 we know we've heard you already. You've replied the same thing after almost every comment. Oh yeah, cuz having Sonny take her kids away from her and call her all kinds of names and call her a liar when his own conduct is less than stellar..... At least Alcazar was willing to leave it all *FOR* Carly. And why did they make Tamara cry? Sonny has gotten all the toys and Carly has largely been lunchmeat all during Tamara's tenure. She was always the spare just in case Maurice tanked his next pairing. That's why Tamara left in 2005. She wanted something different than rinse repeat for Carly. Maurice and Steve have no business making Tamara feel bad about anything. It says more about her character than it does theirs that she didn't stick around to engender more of their abuse in terms of never "matching up" in their eyes. To have Sonny lose everything to Alcazar would have been fitting given Sonny's disgusting treatment of her.

He was just as bad as Sonny but in a different way. Whether people like it or not Sonny is General Hospital now and at the time they were making sure he was center around it as he was a huge part of the ratings being up along with the character Luke!

Because Ric was the new heartthrob and he needed to stay free so he could be useful in other stories without paying for his deeds like kidnapping a pregnant woman and keeping her chained to a wall for the good portion of two or three months. It seems this kind of thing is acceptable on soaps. Anti-heroes are only good when they actually change their ways to be good. Sonny and Jason are no heroes, yet that's what these hack writers keep telling us. So no one was made to pay for what happened to Carly during all 2003. They even reconned that scene in the hotel room when Ric raped Carly. They merely said all he did was undress her and put her in a bed. Like that makes it okey dokey, yet according to someone who saw what was happening, said he saw nothing of Ric actually having sex with her, only them "sleeping" in a bed. Yeah, like also drugging Carly's drink wasn't bad enough. As for Elizabeth and the feeding her birth control pills, had to keep Ric as a possible love interest since they refused to actually write for her and Lucky. This is the reason they have her with a serial killer now. Ah the new soap opera hero: The mob boss, enforcer, and serial killer.
