Trickster looks like he has a lot of potential to be good, but is just barely missing something. He's very potent in some situations, but those don't show up enough and he's pretty mediocre elsewhere. You made him look better than I thought he would end up looking though.

Literally all they need to do is boost his movement speed, and reduce the spread of his blades a little bit more. It's unreasonably infuriating that he moves so slow in a chase, and I get it his knives give him the much needed range to close the gap. But it's not enough, he needs some stopping power. If anything, one of his pink addons should allow him to 99 a survivor's laceration meter.

I just want him to be a little better, he's lately been the one killer that I've fun with in a while. But he just needs some changes and I'm sure they'll come around at some point in time but for now as one of my newest mains he lacks the much needed time stalling that other killers have. Alas, he's going to stay like this for the next year or so. I do wish they would've taken more time in testing, we got a whole new batch of killers within a short gap of 6 or so months and they all still need some changes in my opinion. the problem with trickster is two things. Trickster buffs the best survivor loops and nerfs the best killer loops. The reason i say this is any loop with high walls that can be seen through are worst on trickster the other killers, because of how slow he is and having no mind game you can loop trickster near infinite at places like shack. While jungle gyms with high walls aren't too horrible for other killers, because at least you can mind game them from time to time. While trickster being as slow as he is has a harder time mind gaming and gets punished harder for the mind game not working plus high walls with lots of turns makes hitting multiple daggers a nightmare. The other issue with trickster is his ability "show time" is to similar to his normal ability. Why is this a problem? Well, the counter to his normal ability is to play around high walls to break off lines of sight so he can't throw daggers at you, avoiding the open at all costs. His ability "show time" is a lot of daggers really fast and its strength pretty much can't be used unless he finds someone in the open. What i would like to see with his ability is instead its gives him increased movement speed while throwing daggers. So that he is actually slightly faster then he would be even while not throwing daggers. So that at least every once in a while he can actually not be looped forever and ever and it makes "show time" something separate from his actual ability so that survivors don't just automatically counter "show time" by just avoiding his normal daggers, because it doesn't actually add to what his ability is already doing really.

Keep in mind that he is also playing what survivors generally consider "trash killer" tactics. Tunneling the same survivors and even camping hooks. All things that really piss survivors off even if its the best play for you at the moment. Generally otz doesn't do these things because he doesn't find them fun and probably also doesn't want to get rage typed to after every match. The only reason he didn't deal with any range in these games is just because everyone knew it was him. If otz did the same thing on a random obscure account he would actually be shit talked more games then not.

No Way Out is kinda meh but it’s definitely the best endgame perk we’ve gotten since Blood Warden, giving you that extra time to down one more person and kill them. Crowd control is his weakest but it actually works with his power since blocking windows is your best bet. Plus your opinion on the design is just that: Your opinion, so I won’t argue that.

Hey Otz, nice accomplishment in 36 wins ;) Few ppl can even get consistent 4ks with Trickster. If you don't mind some constructive criticism for your next attempt, these tips generally work for me: 1) Reload often. You're not Huntress, you can't go around with few knives like Huntress can go with 2 hatches and be fine with that, like you usually did on your matches. Yes, you'll be wasting time and deviating from your path, but that's Trickster for you. From experience, there's not a single scenario where taking a chance to reload doesn't pay off later. 2) Secure hooks. I'm no one to tell you how to apply pressure or to change your mind set. Though keep in mind that Trickster is one of the few killers that can quickly down a healthy survivor that just unhooked someone and also down the unhooked survivor. You can't do that consistently with slugged survivors that 1) you don't always know where they are, and 2) tend to be at one tap, giving you a smaller window to down the rescuer and the rescued. I hope you read this and, somehow, find in useful. And again, good job on that streak attempt :D

I've been playing a lot of Trickster recently. I'm having a lot of success utilizing Monitor/Ruin/STBL/BBQ. Also learning that you must juggle M1 and knives. I know in the first few minutes you mention the cooldown. What I've seen is extraordinarily strong is to use knives to get the first health state while forcing the retreat into an advantageous position and M1 for the down. This helps gets stacks which will assist in the mid to end game once gens completed. STBL helps eliminate the early inefficiencies of juggling M1/knives.

But as a Trickster main I've been noticing that you are throwing too many knifes when situation is intense or you're panicking your mouse is shacking and you losing mobility. Try to avoid that, and that will help you a lot since if you'll throw only couple you wouldn't be too slow. Try to practice with red addon to control your knifes. It really helped me out since I've been throwing knifes more precisely and not loosing too much speed
