@@AttacMage The pebble works when you’re still & crouching and press the action button (same button as dead hard) and when the pebble is thrown, it can go up to a range of 10/15/20 meters, once the pebble lands, it makes a distraction for the killer (same distraction as when you sprint into a locker) and it leaves a bit of scratch marks around where the pebble landed. (This perk doesn’t work automatically, you have to be in the killers radius until the pebble can be thrown and then you can use it) (no, this doesn’t mean the pebble only works in the killers radius, this means it unlocks by being in the killers radius & then you can use it whenever you want) sorry for the long explanation but I wanted to be as detailed as possible :)

Doctor has slowly become one of my top 3 favorite killers to play, and my absolute least favorite to go against. He has a free survivor radar. He has off-chase gen pressure with madness. He has off-camping hook pressure with static blast. He can interrupt vaults and pallet drops. He can mind game really well with that threat. And that's all without perks or add-ons. In the right hands, Doctor is probably the single most annoying killer to face. He's not the strongest in terms of anything, really, but he's phenomenal at whittling down the sanity of the survivor... literally... hence the disconnects.

I think people overexaggerate his loop stopping difficulty, and that's why they put him mid to low B tier. I get that stopping loops is a big deal for Killers, and even if Doc isn't the best at it, holy shit does he excel at everything else. He's probably the best Killer to start with in the game, why he's ranked as Hard is beyond me.

39:09 actually, there is 1 perk that does affect the noise you make while on the ground: No Mither reduces the noise by 50% amd is the only perk that does so in dying state. But you can tell when someone has No Mither, since they'll be broken the whole match, none of them were broken, so it was definitely the bug

Just wanted to say Otz, I've been a Doctor main for as long as I can remember, since I started playing Dead by Daylight, and I believe I have grown quite adept at his play style, since I've been rank 1 with him for a very long time (Even though rank doesn't mean much nowadays) and have well over 500 or so hours in Doctor alone, you did very well in the matches you played. I joined the streams occasionally to see how you were doing and I must say, you were playing Doc pretty well. I personally have no opposition to the way you play Doctor, but I play quite differently, and I know that you can't use add-ons, and that may be the reason why I have so much success, but having Distressing and Both high tier Calms are insanely powerful, at least in my opinion. That being said, amazing work as always. Thank you for giving me a years worth of entertainment (That's when I found you :D).

Honestly, I'm not surprised he still has a lot of survivors disconnecting against him. Before his rework, and for a little while after, Doc was one of my most played killers, alongside Trapper. pre-rework, before he started falling to the bottom of the pile, I would regularly get 1-2 DC's per match, purely because people just weren't interested in even learning how to counter his anti-stealth playstyle. Unfortunately, the more "entitled" survivors were always vocal about it, claiming that Doc was 'anti-fun'. It's pretty unfortunate, I honestly like playing against Doctors, as he forces me to think more reactively around loops. Dealing with madness doesn't take long to get used to, either, and very rarely catches me off guard now. But hey, congrats on yet another 50 wins Otz! You're making amazing progress in this challenge!

There's like 2 main reasons I disconnect against doctors, 1. They all run the same 2 item builds, double calm or both chess pieces, double calm is just kinda annoying to hear a heartbeat the entire game, unless he blasts and gives everyone madness 1 immediately, then he's basically a ghost, but the chess pieces are so annoying purely because of all the visual effects they inflict, it's a long list. And 2. I don't wanna hear screaming in my ears every 3 seconds, and the visual effects on madness (an affliction you can never really get rid of) really hurt my eyes, I've heard this same complaint from friends and other people, a 20 minute match gave a friend of mine a horrible migraine from the visual effects alone, I get what his power is but it shouldn't affect the actual player in a negative manner, the visual effects really need to be toned down in some way P.S. if you're reading this, sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining, while I do dislike the doctors power I'm not trying to complain, just stating some actual issues with it

Personally I like doctor however playing survivor at purpish ranks (sometimes green sometimes red) I think doctor freddy and bubba played by competent killers is awful for survivor side, especially with the tradgedy of solo queing. At high levels these killers are fine but lower levels its harder and harder, so I wonder could you make a guide on how to deal with these harder killers at lower levels? @@DollaSignD how about we call the pink addon triple a battery and make it so whenever a survivor snaps out of a tier give the doctor a faster cool down when near the survivor tier one madness gives the doc a 3% faster cool down tier 2 madness gives him 6% tier three gives 9% faster cool down rate on his ability

I think doc high level addons or not is balanced (long as no key or amything like that) but against lower survivors he is the most new player friendly killer, and I think they should change it so he is balanced throughout, like low tier nurse is bad for nurse but high tier its the best, I think killers shouldnt be so flip floped and actually consistant

You're right about Badham, it's always been my favorite map cause it's just so safe as survivor and especially nasty when you run lithe. Plus it's my best map cause I know the layout, it has four completely safe buildings as survivor: shack, school, two story with the car pallet, and basement house so the kill rate thing isn't too surprising.

yeah its really awful. I am a doc main and many games I end up farming with the remaining survivors after dcs.

@@aileenma7518 Yeah i'd understand why sometimes. Doc has the potential to be extremelly annoying but damm, you'd think some people would be at least a little patient. I don't DC, i just suicide on hook somewhat rarely, and whenever i do, it's probably a Forever Freddy or a Tryhard Stridor Spirit. Not really because i suck against them ( they have low counterplay anyway ) but rather because my Solo Queue teammates often get steamrolled by them so fast that the match is beyond salvaging.

The reason I love doctor is because he's the killer that gets most DC's out of all the killers, and you explained it very well as to the reason why people DC.

I USED TO find Doctor to be the most frustrating killer to face. NOW, that I run Calm Spirit, I like playing him much more. However, when I started this, the therapy shock would NOT make me scream AND also would NOT increase madness AND I could still throw pallets/perform actions. I now believe this was a glitch that has since been fixed. The only way I would gain madness was from the AOE shock(static blast). More recently, I only dont scream when using Calm Spirit. The build up of madness and the "silence"/unable to perfor action, part of shock therapy now effects me.
