Do you think it’s possible to do this beautiful work in soft glass? I haven’t joined the Dark Side yet!! 😂

My lord I suck at lampworking. I have a long way to go. I’m only using softglass so far. Maybe thats my issue? Cause mine never looks this clear. I even pre clean my rods with rubbing alcohol and coffee filters as they are lint free
@JustinBodovsky3 жыл бұрын
I bet you are a lot better then you think. Keep it up, i love to see how others create, everyone seems to find their own way. I want to get into soft

Great tip on the coffee filters! How is your journey going? I'm only starting out.

Great demo! I’ve been thinking about trying this, just haven’t seen it done until now. Def gonna start using a cobalt rod to pull stringers.

how do you tell when you are done terminating?
@JustinBodovsky3 жыл бұрын
when the whole pattern is pulled together to a point, and its cut off under the clear. if there is still color left on the clear, it will pull down with your stem.

Love this! I learned so many things! How did you take it off the punty and when? Did you hold it by the bail after it cooled a bit? That part's always stumped me! Thanks!
@JustinBodovsky4 жыл бұрын
So I just let it cool till its not glowing, and grab the bale with tweezers. After that I just melt it of and shape the end just holding it with the tweezers
