This works pretty well for me when designing fixtures and brackets with organic geometry. it just takes so long to solve each simulation.

Would take much longer than doing the calculations 😂

Thank you. I enjoyed the tip on 2 axis vs 5 axis providing different build outcomes (sketches and tsplines) was not aware of this. Cheers!

Very detailed lecture. Through this lecture, I fully understand the flow and usage logic of FUSION360's derivative design. Then I will start the practical exercises.

Thank you. Very informative video. When are we going to be able to order the machined parts from Autodesk?

Hello there, thank you for the great video. After getting outcomes there no history below so I cant get in the organic mode. How can resolve this problem?

I’m not sure on the pre baking but it could be true. Anyway it’s a cool program thanks

When you have an organic generative looking shape, is that modelled as a triangulated mesh?

Point of interest, you can make castings out of stone( or to be more accurare concrete) but is of little relevance to mechanical engineering( purely ornamental )! Great video especially considering it's only your second live! Anyone know if a solid state drive on a laptop is faster for running simulations?
@adskFusion4 жыл бұрын
SSD's are faster for everything (and I personally couldn't do without one nowadays). BUT, if you're talking about for generative, because it's done on the cloud, the only time it would make a difference are when downloading results or the limited times it stores files locally.

In my past, I worked some tech support, and we often found that hard drives are the biggest bottleneck for intensive software/designs.

@@adskFusion Well we could be looking down the barrel of Quantum computers courtesy of Google and that will have consequences from science and engineering right through to weather forecasting. Kind of a far cry from the draughting boards!

It is needed to pay the credits after paying the generative simulation... Why? As it is already created by the cloud, why cannot just let users download the generative design directly...

i saw (in the phone app) a steering wheel *sample design* i wanted to use the shifters for my own wheel but on the pc app of fusion360 i didn't see it in design samples ??? is this normal if not how can i get it or were can i download it i send fusion 360 a screenshot but i got no reaction
@adskFusion4 жыл бұрын
Where did you send Fusion 360 a screenshot? I haven't seen it. That said I found the file you're talking about. Its just a sample included with that app, which are different than the sample files included with Fusion 360. To get to those, see here: knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-access-samples-files-for-Fusion-360-tutorials.html

I have planned to manufacture bike frame in generative design ! Can you give me some tutorial on it

We don't have anything planned in the near future for this, in fact, after this free period is over we'll probably focus back on other parts of Fusion 360. Sorry about that...

Is generative in fusion like a black box? How do we know how reliable the solutions are?
@adskFusion4 жыл бұрын
You can import all your loads to our FEA which is fully vetted by NAFEMS. Is that what you're looking for?

Autodesk Fusion 360. What do we compare the designs to. Like should you compare to a design that an engineer thinks of themselves and compare the solutions GD gives to that

Autodesk Fusion 360. I wanted to know what happens with those load cases. How does it come up with designs?

Are there any papers that fusion 360 have written on the technical aspect of G design.
@suhaylpatel94714 жыл бұрын
Also, can I import a step file and use generative design on that. Would it be the same quality vs if design straight in fusion from scratch. I already have a design in Catia that’s why I’m asking?
