The ST is so comfortable.. Just keep cadance high and its amazing. At easey pace you crash. Order at foot length and don't add 1 cm. The energy return feel is amazing. I have wide feet and they are perfect. Grip excellent and lock down excellent. Don't run on loose gravel. High hard midsole exaggerate road camber. Be careful.

Great review, Matt! It gives me a really good idea of where the Flame RS sits in the supershoe arena. I guess my takeaway is that it would only be one overpriced local 5k race entry fee more for the Endorphin Pro 3, which just about everybody loves and I would probably get if/when I took the leap to a carbon plated racer. But the Flame RS sounds like a legit contender.

The price difference is right, but the person buying the RS probably wouldn’t consider the Pro 3; the Pro 3 would likely be way too soft.

@@its_Matt_B_ I thought the softness of the Pro 3 was what reviewers liked about them. As a heavier than average runner yourself, do you favor a firmer shoe? I picked up a pair of Endorphin Speed 2s last month (big buzz a couple of years ago, seem quite versatile, and a fair number prefer them to v.3) and it feels like I can bottom out the heels pretty easily if I really try to work them. Or barely compress them at all if I run the way I'm used to, with the lightest possible heel strike.

@@largeeddie If put on the spot I would say I still prefer a softer ride, however I have been running quite a bit in firmer shoes and have really enjoy them. For shorter events I tend to prefer a firmer ride than I do for the marathon, however the Endorphin Elite is much firmer than the Pro 3 and I loved it during my last marathon.

@@chriscross6005 361° make some good shoes! The FRS is my favorite of all of them! If you like a firm but responsive ride, they’re perfect!

@@chriscross6005 I find them a little uncushioned for slower paces but good for 5k and maybe 10k paces. I'm 61 and 180lb. I have not heard if they "soften up" like LightStrike Pro after several dozen miles of use. The fit is 1/2 to full size large (get a 43 if you wear a 43.5 or 44). The ride and fit are decent, I supinate and did not have any issues with my foot wanting to go off the lateral side.

I could do with a new shoe in my rotation, mainly to keep LR mileage off my Endorphin Pro 3's and other LR shoes (which now have a lot of mileage on them) when training for Amsterdam and possibly Boston. I will likely race in the Endorphin Elite again as much as I wouldn't mind giving the Wave Rebellion Pro a try in Amsterdam (both shoes saved for maybe one workout and racing). I have seen the 361 Flame RS for £110 here in UK and with still some wear on the original 361 Flame (which I ran a few 16+ mile LR's in) I could be tempted. Did you say that the Flame RS os a little softer than the original Flame? Also with sizing would you suggest the same size as I had for the original Flame? Not many shoes that I am liking the look of right now but feel like I will be living on the edge a bit and risking potential injury if I don't add a new pair by the end of August.

Good plan to save the really fast shoes for race day! Unfortunately I did not run in the original Flame, so can't compare to those, but my Flame RS are UK 11s and my WRP. Endo Pro 3, and Endo Elite are UK 12s!

@@its_Matt_B_ Thanks for the info Matt 👍 The original Flame was a firm shoe. Like yourself I was under the belief that I preferred softer foams until recently, when last year I think that I came to the conclusion that performance wise I had ran better in the Metaspeed Sky and Sky+ compared to other race day shoes that I had opted for (New Balance RC Elite v2 and the Endorphin Pro 3) The Alphafly is the only soft shoe which I now have current PB's in but gave me the arch problems. I still have my 5k and 10k PB in Alphafly but wouldn't even run a Half in them and sold them on. I have never run a PB in the Endorphin Pro 3 and found that they bottom out for me and are too soft at the end of longer runs, as much as I have liked them as a training shoe. I have run a Marathon PB and think that I could have gone very close to my Half PB this March in the Endorphin Elite if I was fit rather than just coming into the start of a training plan after base building (only raced twice in them). I must be crazy after how well the Elite has worked for me so far but I am still half considering giving that Wave Rebellion Pro a go in Amsterdam 😂

I'm looking at what I have on hand and i'm not sure I could make a video with the small selection I have. However, in my experience, I have very much enjoyed running in the Puma ForeverRUN Nitro and the Saucony Tempus! They both offer stability and I would recommend them to every runner!

Hi there, there is a sale on the Flame ST and RS. But ST V2 which seems heavier than the V1 with a new upper. I love the ST V1. Fit is perfect and I use it for... Yes, these will work well for a 90kg runner. They are quite firm, but a heavier runner will compress the foam more, potentially making them more comfortable for heavy runners. I weigh 82kg and they’re perfect.

I haven't heard of them. I just looked them up and it looks like they're only available on AliExpress. They're not even available from the 361º website, so perhaps it is an older model or it's not a true 361º shoe.
