Thank you Dustin for being such an acute voice to believers. Sometimes I find myself wishing that i would have discovered people like you sooner in my christian walk. But I have come to realize that that there is a difference knowing for yourself and having true knowledge, opposed to, just accepting what others have taught you. Today I have a better foundation to build proper theology on because of that. I left trinitarianism about 6 years ago. At that time I still was on the fence over pre.Incarnation of Jesus. Your sound biblical teaching has helped me understand his preincarnation was in the Father's wisdom and not physicality.

Excellent. I used to use this verse to show the Son was not the Creator (and was spoken of prophetically), but about a year ago I came to the same conclusion you’ve presented here. Thank you for your labor.

Yes, I agree. Had I more time and few responsibilities with my full-time job and family then I could put more into it. But audio is better than nothing, and I really want to do what I can to contribute. Thanks for your suggestion.

While I generally agree with your read of the passage, I worry that an opponent might think you inadequately explained the specific literary function of the question about the name of the hypothetical subject's son. My take to elaborate on this would be that it's a joke. Wisdom literature is full of humor (e.g. "answer a fool / don't answer a fool" having no right answer), so my take is that the writer, through his self-admittedly dumb as cattle speaker, is doing two things with the son question for humorous effect: 1) He's portraying the speaker as so dumb that he presupposes a nonexistent son for a nonexistent subject; that is, he's gotten ahead of himself when he can't even figure out that no such person exists in the first place. 2) He may also be portraying the speaker as so dumb that he's expecting to know the guy, hence asking the name of his son or children so he can disambiguate, i.e. "Oh Joseph has been to Heaven and back? Which Joseph, Yeshua's dad or Saul's dad?" The fact the speaker is asking as if his interlocutor must know is a joke to show the speaker is so ignorant that he just assumes these questions have simple answers. As the passage continues, the author drops the act because he's told the punchline already.

You raised some interesting points worth consideration. Thank you for bringing them to my attention.

For those who accept that Jesus is the embodied God of Israel, the OT doesn't hide his existence. God the creator repeatedly appears and interacts with human beings in many ways. Why should this seem unusual? The Biblical view is that this created realm is sustained moment by moment by God's power and will. Nothing exists which is not of his will, either his direct intervening will or his permissive will. There is no distance between creation and the mind of God.

Consider investing in a hermeneutics textbook, because throwing random verses into a blender isn’t working like you think it is.

Ephesians ch 3 Says the mystery of Christ was hidden in God in times past That through Christ, GOD created Genesis ch 1 GOD said let us make men in our image 🙏 Rev. 3 Christ said that HE was the beginning of GOD'S creation Colossians ch 1 Christ was the first born of every creature Hebrews ch 1. In GOD'S heaven Christ was made higher than the angles John 8 Jesus said before Abraham I AM Meaning his preexistence John 17 Jesus said regarding his glory with the FATHER before this world was Many examples Christians as myself are coming forth from all of this false doctrine of men and yes Biblical Unitarian is just another false doctrine among the 40,000 plus doctrine of thus sayeth men! There is only ONE TRUE GOD and Jesus CHRIST pointed all humanity to the FATHER The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob Jesus is the only way to the FATHER John 14:6
