Thank you sooo much for all these squares, I'm actually on number 56, but I missed this one out because it does end up really wonky, I'll try the suggestion that's been made, and hopefully it's a bit flatter, but a BIG thank you for keeping my spirits high, I'm stuck in the house a lot because of rheumatism, so crocheting and knitting keeps me going, thank you so much xxx

Fabulous, I have decided during this lockdown to learn how to crochet, and what better way than doing a 365 day blanket as a tool to learning new stitches

I found this late into the session - in December - but am really enjoying it. I'm on #22, and having a great time. Thank you so much for doing this, Nadia! I only learned to crochet in Jan 2016, making caps for my sisters who were going through chemo, and now i'll be able to make blankets too!

thank you so much for the wonderful videos, I found this web site, a few weeks ago, so happy that I can use my red heart yarn, I have never crocheted a granny square before, and am very excited about each one that I have done, I am on number 22, right now and cannot wait to finish this project, thank you so much for putting the time and effort into making this a very special blanket that can be passed down from generation to generation, please thank your dad also, for the time and effort he put into producing these videos.

Thank you, Nadia for your tutorials on the granny squares! I love making them, I have made 28 squares so far. I have skipped around a bit on the order, but now I'm trying not to that & go in order. I have to say that I've become addicted 😀

Thank you Cleodhna Nightshade, for your comments, I too found the square starting to become wonky & quickly made a few changes as you did. Once they are finished (& wonky-like) I find it hard to fix. My chances: round 1- 15 dc, round 2- 8 dc clusters w/ only 2 chains in between, round 3- d crochets w/only 2 chains in between, round 4- hdc w/ only 1 hdc in the chain spaces.......came out perfect!

I’m doing this in 2019, and I now realize I need to read the comments of all of you who have gone before me. Thanks for sharing your insights.

This one is very pretty! Mine came out extremely wonky even when I put an edge on it, so I did another with a chain 3 and 15 double crochet in the centre loop in round one, then in round 2, only skipping one stitch and chaining two between the 2x2dc clusters, then in round 4 only one hdc in the chain 3 spaces, everything else the same. It looks very much the same; the 'petals' are a little less defined but it does lie nice and flat. I might try another one slightly differently later on. Thank you for your great tutorials! Looking forward to the next one.

Hi, love all the squares! I'm wondering if all the squares when completed will end up the same size? Thanks!
@mattmccoy49075 жыл бұрын
Kim Vahle ive been doing them there seem to be a few that are a little smaller but she says if you want to go around again..... then will tell you what you could do i compare the newest one i made to the first one so I double check the size hopefully that helps😃 happy crocheting

@@mattmccoy4907 yes! Thanks! I've realized that if a particular square is not quite the same size, I can adjust accordingly by either adding a single or half double crochet border around the square. That seems to be working out 😊

After looking it over, next time I’d do two half doubles, chain two, two half doubles, in the corners to make it seem less wonky. Anyone try that?
