I googled 367 Collins. Looks like an upscale commercial building. Surely the management's got the resources to install a simple roof/shade for the birds? I understand the "not to interfere with nature" rule, but a skyscraper is hardly part of nature. I'm not from Australia so pardon my limited understanding of the situation.

If I remember right, there is another nest area down the opposite end of that gulley. That would be in the shade now. Maybe that is what momma is trying to do, to get them down the other end 🤷♀️

Мама серьезно занимается воспитанием детей. Понимает как опасно им быть на такой высоте и просто разгуливать где хотят. Бедный малыш вжался в стену от жары.

It should be that some kind of reflective hood could be installed as well as gravel on the tin walkway that tin must get really hot too I really don’t understand why some of these things aren’t thought about beforehand life for them is hard enough

UneWood, the parents have their own priorities! It is not up to humans to rebuild a building so that the falcons always have shade. That is impossible! The parents chose this place. They have been breeding there successfully for 17 years. Birds always look a bit pathetic when they pant. But that is their way of cooling down. No matter whether they are big or small, young or old, they breathe with their beak open. BTW: Shadow is on the other side of ledge. In a few days they will there

They've learnt to move away from the sun, which is good. The problem is that this side of the building is facing west, which has high heat in the PM. Southside would be an ideal place for nests. In northern hemisphere, the northside of the building would be an ideal place.
