The best time to go on Peoplemover is when Space Mountain is down. When the ride is down, they turn on the lights.. and since Peoplemover rides through space mountain, you get a really cool inside look of what Space Mountain looks like with the lights on!

When I was like 5, I pulled the sword out of the stone. I got a special medal, a picture, and a special sword to keep, not sure they still do all that now, more then 20 years later, but it was a very memorable moment that I can still remember the feeling of surprise (when I was chosen), happiness (when I pulled the sword from the stone), and joy (when I received my special prizes for doing it)

Another "benefit" of the brown river is that it leads to restrooms on either end. Imagine the parent with a child that needs a bathroom and can't find one. The Disney cast members in that area could try to explain where the bathrooms are, or simply tell the parent to follow the brown river in either direction, and it ends at a bathroom (Rapunzel's tower on the North end, and the Frontierland / Adventureland pass-through bathrooms on the South end).

We usually give them a baseball brownie as well! Such a fun little tradition. We also sometimes join Jim during the day to sing, but that is of course if we aren't busy serving guests! Also on the carousel of progress in the final scene on the mantle of the fireplace there is a hidden Mickey as a nutcracker. And don’t forget at haunted mansion you can ask for your death certificate at the end of the ride.

These videos cheer me up no end , although it's been some years since my last Disney holiday . The world ( especially the UK ) is now more depressing than ever with the news & everything so these videos provide so much light relief & take me back to the better days from when I used to go to Disneyland / Universal & Island of Adventure , Animal Kingdom , MGM & Seaworld .

One of my very favorite memories was way back in 2006, when I was a Disney CP student, I decided to go to Magic Kingdom for an afternoon by myself and out of the blue, in Frontierland, there was an impromptu tiny parade with Woody, Jessie, Bullseye and some cast members just dancing down the street! It made me laugh because it was something I didn't know was going to happen or even existed! So fun. I'm glad they still do that. ETA: I told my roommates about it and no one else ever saw it happen, I was beginning to wonder what happened, lol!

Don’t know if this is still the case at Disneyland because it’s probably been at least 10 years, but for their flag retreat ceremony, a cast member would pick a responsible looking child or siblings. My brother and I got to do it and got a pin for it. We had to rehearse and learn how to do it properly, but that’s one of my most special Disney memories and I treasure that pin dearly.

I miss the magic cards you could get for free just before starting down Main Street. (Mary Poppins escorted me over to get mine.) You then played a game at the store windows that magically revealed the game. Just one of the many freebies no longer available and missed. Thank you for a fun, informative video!

There’s no Roy Disney window!!! Roy only wanted his brother Walt honored at Walt Disney World. The only Roy Disney Monument is him sitting on the bench at the beginning of Main Street USA. On a positive note. There is one Hidden Donald in the Magic Kingdom. In The Haunted Mansion The chair in front of the Hallway with the Floating Candle. Has Donald’s face printed on it.

there is also a mickey Nutcracker in carousel of progress, sitting on the fire place. instead of finding a paint brush over at Tom Sawyer Island, you can find one in the little Muppet gift shop in Hollywood Studios. they tell you if you want to see the pin board, you must find a paint brush. also, the father and daughter from carousel of progress can be found in spaceship Earth, playing instruments.

Ah! The hoedown secret makes sense now! On our very first trip we accidently caught it and got some great pics of my sister dancing, but I could never find it on the schedule on our later trips so I thought it was discontinued. It was so much fun, and such a good time for a break and a turkey leg, that I'm gonna make a note to ask about it next time I'm up.

The Harmony Barber Shop's walk-in sheet fill up FAST! So make sure you get there ASAP in the morning unless the park is pretty empty. My advice though (especially after talking to the cast members there), is to call in advance; even the night before New Year's Eve I was still able to get an appointment on the phone for the holiday.
