#37 Mercedes 200 W115 1975 Cold Start. Will it start?

In this episode i try to start the 1975 Mercedes-Benz 200 a cold winter morning. The temperature is approximately -9 degrees Celsius.

Really fun to watch! By the end of this week it is expected to be -7 degrees here in Holland too so I'm curious how my W115 200D will start... ;). The drifting in the end is also a lot of fun, even 200D can drift better and gracefully than all modern front wheel driven cars. Be sure to remove the snow blocks that form beneath the trunk on the inside back, W114/W115 is notorious to collect a lot of snow there in those conditions.

Thank you very much Martin! Yes these old cars are really fun to drive. I don't use this W115 much in the winter time because of the salty roads here. But a little driving now and then is necessary. Good luck with the 200 D. I'm sure it will start!

@@Pexyz We'll see, funny enough my 200D almost died this week because it started to run on it's own engine oil. But after examination we discovered that the vaccuum pump failed and it was pumping oil to the brake booster and intake haha. After replacing the vaccuum pump the problem was solved.

Beautiful, clean car!! Must be super pleasant to drive! But hell, as much as people laugh and bash eastern block cars from that era lika Lada, those simply start times better in the cold, even -30 :D By the way can I use a part of your video for my extreme cold start compilation? got 110 of them done so far, check them out if you're interested :)
