I love the slow build up of Aaron and Robert after his shooting. They each get more and more screen time in the aftermath as Chas gets PTSD and stabs Diane, and gradually get more scenes together in groups, before having one-on-ones, and then a whole wide sl. Brilliantly done. *Mild spoilers* Also particularly the in between after the stabbing and before Gordon arrived. Just those few episodes, it's great. Gradually brining them back into focus.

I just discovered Danny Miller a few weeks ago and was impressed with his talent. His coming out and Jackson's assisted suicide storylines were brilliant. I guess every storyline since his return to Emmerdale has paled in comparison, which is why I think they don't let him shine as he did during his first stint with the soap opera. Would love to see Danny win best actor and be part of best storyline again. I guess I don't see that happening any time soon given the direction the writers have taken his character. But there's always hope, and I'm glad he has hardcore fans! Cheers!

JustBecause Yes he has a lot of fans and will probably be on the show for a long time. I understand your point but I kind of knew (I´ve been watching since his coming out 5 years ago) it was going to be impossible to top such huge, brave and hard storylines that they gave him during his first stint. Very impressive for an actor at such young age to begin with. Personally, I still think this story has let him shine too, and he received an award for best actor again 3 months ago or so, and a lot of nominations throughout the year. So he keeps being an awards grabber for the show. But I share your thoughts about wanting the story to go differently right now.

But Aaron letting Robert in almost right away after everything that has just happened is very very forced, for the first time in 5 years I really think so. Trying to feed online fans, which are many for this pairing with amazing chemistry. But I don´t see how Aaron would let Robert in so soon. I mean, eventually after showing he has really changed, that could be. But now? I would understand some hot sex once or twice, because teh attraction is always tehre. But a romance already? I really would prefer the story to go on differently. It´s making Aaron look very very weak. And from what I read many viewers fall into the trap of believing in Robert as a superhero who dominates Aaron, "as it should", or something. I´m tired of the dynamic of Robert dominating Aaron, or viewers accepting that. Don´t get me started with teh suggestions about Aaron never topping Robert...

+sanyrub Don't see it that way. From watching these clips I have constructed considerably different dynamic. Robert is for sure the biggest manipulator, conspirator, liar BUT when he is with Aaron most of his defense mechanisms are muted. Rob lets himself be vulnerable with him, emotions that he usually perfectly hides are flying all over the place. No, I do not believe for a second that Robert is a superhero who dominates Aaron, or is Aaron a maiden in distress waiting to be rescued by a prince.
