I’m have a family friend that was a sniper for a special forces team way back in early 00’s. Shooting to those ranges is difficult but once you get it, he said it’s a liberating feeling knowing you can hit targets at those ranges. Good luck I’m going to keep trying for 700 😂
@Schrodingers_kidАй бұрын
The truth is, it works great for confidence and mastering the basics. If you can hit even close to the target consistently or hit the target ON PURPOSE at that range at all, you know that you will be able to hit anything in 800 yard range which is already more than a sniper needs

It surprisingly easy I got 1,000yrd a few months back. Before that 300yrd was the most I had shot. Don't over think it I built a very expensive rifle just for 1,000yrd and 1 mile. But I was surprised my 5.56 bolt rifle with a 4-16x50 scope was more than enough for 1,000yrd. And it was 1/5 the $. I intend to try for 1 mile this fall with the more expensive and powerful rifle I built.
