TELOMERES are the "capstones" or protective biologics at the end of DNA strands that make sure DNA strands don't degrade too fast over time, from cellular activities. Again, in most cells, those TELOMERE CAPS get shorter and shorter, as an organism ages and by the time it does, there's hardly any telomeres at the ENDS of it's various DNA strands. Again, in the HUMAN biology, SPERM CELLS seem to keep replenishing their TELOMERE lengths and capability, as a man ages (a healthy man, that is). I would say same but for different reasons. The thing is that you don't determine your value. Other people do... and in the dating scene, the opposite sex (assuming hetero) determines your worth. Men don't really care about a woman's career or income as much as they do about a man's career or income. So being overly focused on that is definitely one's choice but don't be surprised as to why it doesn't mean much in dating. Women also tend to date up, so a woman who is 'accomplished only wants somebody equal but often higher'. By plain statistics, that's just not going to work out, if most or all women who comprise roughly half the population only seek the top 50% or worse, of men. That leaves a bunch of people with no match. Guys at the top percentiles get all the picks and guys are the bottom get the crumbs when the picking is done. In addition, people often say men are wired more for quantity (to spread the genes) where as women are more wired for quality (ensuring good offspring). This just calls for a Genghis khan situation. But where as those women didn't have much of a choice, modern women do. You can choose somebody who you resonate with in spite of the gap in material things. Men did and continue to do it when things were 'traditional' with women who weren't at the same 'level'. Now's women's turn to realize that you have to be a 'modern woman' in all facets of life. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I am a older western guy. I own 4 houses in Australia, have investments and a high income job. I recently broke up with my 39 y-old chinese girlfriend. She wanted me to pay for her to do a Masters in the west, I said " yes, good idea"...She wanted her eggs frozen... again I said " yes, good idea." Then she wanted me to buy her an apartment in centeal Guangzhou... and her parents wanted a 200,000 RMB dowry. After all of this, I was beginning to have my doubts ( I haven't mentioned the 4 overseas trips I shouted her..). The crunch came when she wanted me to buy her a new car, the same week I found out she'd been going on a dating app for one night stands. I have now given up on difficult to please Chinese women, I'm going to Thailand. The women there are certainly less educated, but they are less complex, and far easier to please. My impression is that Chinese society favors winners and particularly “number 1” or “the best.” It favors credentials that tend to require intelligence and hard work, but which may not require good character, a loyal heart, or a caring or nurturing spirit.
