Man I converted mine to 3s, using a 3s out of a brushless Vortek. Running 15t pinion with a 61t steel slipper gear and it’s so much more fun to drive… I even prefer it over my 4wd Vortek😂

Awesome video Joe, I have the new Fury on my wishlist for next year along with the iXSR radio and a bunch of other stuff coming next year. I can't wait to see how the Fury handles 3s brushless power because i might upgrade to brushless right out of the box with mine when i get it also because i might be getting a Slash 2WD BL-2S kit for a loaner truck for my family.

I stripped my son's stampede, and pretty much stuck everything on a bandit chassis(I think I just made a rustler) but 3s on castle 3800kv is pretty wild. On 2s it will bash all day, 3s it likes to break stuff. Personally my favorite right now is 2wd slash with 4.5 turn eco power slingshot slv2 And Mamba x..

I'm a bit slow, I've only just ordered myself a Gorgon.! 😉 Every time I went to get one here in the UK they were out of stock or the only ones available were the ones with a battery.! I'll try to get myself a Fury when they come out though.!!! 👍 👍 👍

Hey the motor you have listed in the description is different from the one in the video, at least for me the link takes me to SPMXSM3200 3800kv motor instead of SPMXSM2900 3800kv motor that is in the video. Your videos did help me figure out what motor to get. Thanks you!

I’m thinking of putting a VXL system in mine. I just traded my local racing hobby dealer a TLR 22T 4.0 roller for a brand new Arrma 2WD Vorteks and it handles nice stock but it definitely needs more power.

It's severely a waste of money to upgrade this platform, I'm $800 I'm on a $200 car, so $600 in upgrades, on 3s the stock tires burnout withing 7 battery's on pavement, ive nearly spent 1000 on this exact same setup, yes it will be faster than the 4x4, but you can get better bang for your buck, if you have the parts laying around sure do it, it's a fun car, but this was my first car, yes it's faster than a 4x4 with the same setup, but I still feel regret. It's still my pride and joy though

I think Arrma should do a "Fury/Vorteks 2S BLX) for $280-$300. Just a 2S Brushless version of these. 40 mph

@FLPatrick1095 yeah, I just think it would be illogical to add a whole new platform to the "3S" group. Since Arrma doesn't have a 2S BLX, I think that's what they should do. Because having "3S 4X4 and 3S 2WD" names would be too weird lol

With the 1/10 classes the limit on battery is 2s, and I can tell you this, The Fury when brushless and setup, is going to really upset a lot of racers as it is incredible on brushless. It really is.

The Fury also appears to have much longer shocks than the vorteks, which I think will also help out with off-road handling. Do the fury shocks seem to be the same length as what comes on the Gorgon? Also, can I use a spektrum receiver with a hobbywing esc? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. ✌🏽🇺🇸

They could totally sell a Brushless Gorgon for $250 and still make money. It would sell too, wouldnt it? they could even use the cheap 85a/540 combo if they notch out the chassis for the motor wires.

100% The Gorgon platform handles brushless power so well. I put brushless electronics in mine and was blown away by the handling while still being a great basher

@@ExocagedRC Thank you for the response. Been racking up Arrma's lately. Looking at these two new ones for my kids. I have one son with a Gorgon - not necessarily looking for a lot more power but appreciate the longevity and efficiency of going brushless. However, I have also amassed a fleet for all the Groms, so torn on getting the new ones, although even just for easier yard running (been so hot that mowing has been less consistent) with the larger platform it may be better suited to getting them using them more.
