Thank you from Illinois for the podcast ya'll put out. Im from a volunteer area, i was out for years due to moving to a different fire district. I caught myself looking all the time i heard a rig coming and be ready to rock but then reality sank in, i'm not on the department. I'm blessed to be apart of a paid on call district now. They get a kick out of my drive for the job. Because no matter the call, lift assistant to fully involved my demeanor - locked , cocked, and ready to rock.
