Hey Y'all! :D I hope you all are staying healthy and safe during this #quarantine time. Some of you were so sweet to leave me messages asking how I have been doing since I have not been able to post anything in the last two weeks so I thought I would make a short little video showing you what I am working on and into the life of a #stay-at-home-mom. :D Hope y'all enjoy! Aww you’re to sweet! I always feel the first “base” layer looks cool because I can see where it is heading but the middle part is where it starts to get sketchy and I get lost. 😂 I have high hopes for it though and I plan on adding a deer to it which I’ve never painted before. 😳😁

your kids are hilarious! lol things are getting really crazy now in the quarantine, its like that around here. my family is home all day and they dont do that well as homebodies. i m usually the one and it can get stressful, im sure you are going through something like that. i feel like one day we will look back at these videos during the crisis and be like wow we went through that? keep doing art even through these times. i know for me, its one thing keeping me sane. i never thought of that thing about non toxic paint, i know now to get ready for that if i have kids. and also, since i heard from allison i think her name on youtube was, that watercolor can be toxic in high amounts, and i didnt even know that before. glad you are doing well, stay safe. in my city, people are going fishing and they dont know whats coming, or what they are spreading.

Thank you. 😂 yes my kids can be hilarious. We luckily live on 10 acres so there is plenty around here to do but even this much space is closing in on us. 😕 All paint can be toxic. That’s the biggest misconception. They think if you work with water everything is non-toxic but it’s the pigments that give you heavy metal poisoning. Cadmium (powder form), cobalts, magnésium and Iron are all not good for your skin. Acrylic put formaldehyde and ammonia fumes in the air when drying but oils (if you stay away from metal pigments and solvents) are 100% safe. Anyway, I hope you stay safe during this time and don’t go crazy. Lol!

Ya. It’s crazy but I’m glad I get to paint too. And yes! That’s what I love about oils over acrylics! No fumes or harmful chemicals. 😁🤗

Lol oh you should see the “makeover” they have already done in the room. Lol there are crayon marks on the walls, paint on the tables and play doh smushed into the carpet. 😂 good thing before we move we already decided to redo this whole room. 😂

I love what you’re working on ❤️ I’m looking forward to the cloud video. I suck at clouds. Also, I learned from the guy on Draw Mix Paint, that if you dip your brushes into a mixture of clove oil and safflower oil after you’ve finished painting for the day, your brushes won’t dry out for a long time. I do this every time I oil paint, and it’s really saved my brushes! Just wipe it off real good before you begin to paint again, and you’re good to go 😁

Im happy you’re excited for the cloud one! 🤗 and yes I do know if you dip them in a drying oil it will keep them longer and won’t change the paint much. As long as you are choosing an oil that does NOT contain vitamin E or Tocopherols. These are anti-oxidants and will slow down the drying process creating an uneven drying surface which could lead to cracking and oiling out later on. I sometimes (when I remember) dip my brushes in walnut oil since I use M.graham paint which their binder is walnut. 😁🤗 what a wonderful conversation! Thank you so much for leaving a comment! 🤗🤗
