Mfs dnt understand. If lebron played defense like this every possession. The offense would have to heavily rely on DLo, Reaves and Rui. Cuz AD definitely brings the intensity at the rim . Thats why vando,prince and reddish has to perform . Bron old ass still needs to efficiently drop 25 plus a night cuz ain nobody else gone do it
@joshuawilliams7653
@joshuawilliams7653 4 ай бұрын
But if he's playing defense u don't need as much offense. Like... u can score 120 and still lose but u can also score 104 and win with the right defense. Bron don't "need" to score 25 he needs to allow the other guys to allow the offense to run through them at times. They do have a winning record in games Bron don't play, including just beating the Celtics. So there's that.
@kidracks2991
@kidracks2991 4 ай бұрын
@@joshuawilliams7653 my point is bron is one of the most efficient scorers and playmakers in the game. The problem is the inconsistency of the supporting cast so far this year. LA expected DLo , Reeves and Rui to be more reliable this year to allow bron to play more off the ball and make a bigger impact at moments on defense and offensively late in games. Thats also why prince and reddish was pickd up. They also expected christie to step up a bit and for gabe vincent to be a slight upgrade for dennis shroeder . Doesn’t help that a few of the key role guys have been injured either
@aitlin
@aitlin 4 ай бұрын
@@joshuawilliams7653 do you remember how bron played in the bubble? They had Caruso and Rondo who are consistent players with Rondo being a great playmaker, too. So LeBron had more energy, thats why he was so good at defense in the bubble. Whenever LeBron does less on offense, he has more to show on defense. The game is just too fast for him nowadays, that's why he has to put his energy all out on offense. You CAN win scoring 104 today, but WHO is scoring those 104? AD might have 30, but I dont believe in the lakers role players to consistently score 70-80 points (AD is also inconsistent). Especially with injuries and different lineups every 2 games. They would need to communicate and understand the game better, show better effort. LeBron is not the only one who stands on 1 spot when doesnt have the ball, that's why he plays playmaker so he can find those who are standing around. If they can move the ball and find lebron on easy cuts, they would have the same vibe as 2020 lakers, because LeBron would be more efficient, they would loose less energy on offense (no heavy shot chucking), and would be better at defense with lebron also playing it more

Offense too static and predictable with a guy dominating the ball always equals inconsistency from everybody besides the guy dominating the ball. Thats the whole issue with Lebron his whole career. Doesnt matter if he gets the best most consistent shooters.. they become inconsistent with him and everybody calls them trash. Even korver struggled shooting in the lebron offense. Ok maybe some people dont understand basketball to understand what im saying..but how yall dont even notice the 2 decade long pattern. Its hard playing with lebron unless you're literally amazing like wade and kyrie

The haters don't understand, this is exactly why most players don't bother trying to score on Lebron in a 1v1. Most players are not defending Brunson this well. Notice, how Lebron does NOT require help defense in 1v1 situations on defense even at age 39 against elite players. Now imagine, if the rest of the guys guarding on the perimeter also didn't require help defense, all the time when guarding 1v1. Haters really want 39yr old Lebron to average 25+ppg efficiently, play individual defense like this, then also constantly cover for the players that cannot guard their man. Is there going to ever be a time when other players decide to pull a little more weight and cover for him so he isn't required to do everything. Aside from AD, it just seems like everyone else could do alot more to be more helpful

Brunson doesn't have to try to find a bailout shot if he had a better option to pass it to. It's literally try to make a play on LeBron or pass it to divencenzo to chuck a three. I mean look at the line up. We got 4 key guys out.

WOW I’m just amazed at how LBJ stayed with Young Brunson that whole possession. I think it’s safe to say IF LBJ wanted to be DPOTY he would have a Good chance at winning the award.

Anybody still hating on this guy is just that a HATER. 39 years old still moving and locking down stars at the end of a game is PRICELESS.

He had bron off the dribble, but AD came and closed down the paint 😮‍💨 idk if a reverse layup would have worked here but I would’ve tried it to look for a foul

This is what is missing in the NBA now days. The Clippers play the best team defense in the NBA. They are my pick to win it all this NBA season.
