damn whoever is wheeling this bad boy around now is a lucky dude. Peak GM right there...beautiful. I luv the patterned upholstery...much more than the velour pillows that came after

GatewayClassicCars, this 1973 Buick Electra brings back memories I remember these cars I was 13 years old in 73 I always liked the two tone color Royal Blue with White hardtop and the vinyl interior seats this generation don't make two tone cars anymore Thank You for posting.

My dad had one of these. He picked it up, slightly used in 1978 with maybe 25,000 miles on it for maybe $3000 or less. It was maroon inside and out with a beautiful thirsty 455. Look every bit as good as this on in your video. Perfect for floating down the Interstate and plenty of 'passing power'. It would absolutely destroy the back tires (one wheel peel) when you mash on it. Buick and GM had some great machines in the late 60's and early 70's and I think may have reached its peak. No push pin fasteners on these babies.

I had one of these, ordered it special with burgundy exterior and interior with a dark brown vinyl top and a special horn that sound just like a train. It was a real brute and got 10 mpg.

Beautiful car, needed the passenger side rearview mirror, @least tilt steering wheel, speed buzzer,... Wider white walls to match the top. Still AWESOME in it's day & now.

I always like the big Buicks my mother had a 74 Buick Electra Limited it was burgundy red with a black top with black interior same kind of material is this car has. That big old 455 and it was two door and it had the spoke hubcaps on it not the rims like this one but it was a nice one very comfortable for my mom's birthday I put an 8-track in it for am and FM she loved it it only came with am and FM!

That is the kind of car that screams Let's Make A Deal!! Put that behind curtain number 2, & pick the right key to open the door!! Nevermind the other wonderful games they played for a car, the car key game is the one!!

1973 was the loweet h.p. units within the 70's.....too bad as they were an exceptional ride.....it beats the hell out of anything on wheels today.
@MrCarguy26 жыл бұрын
They're better than '74 and above later they had a lot of emissions equipment hoses and choking cats for '77 they didn't even had the 455!

That is a great looking Buick. And the GM cars in 73’ wore the full vinyl tops which my opinion is much nicer

As full as equipped this beautiful car is, fiberoptic lamp monitors, cornering lights, chrome OEM wheels, etc, I never understood why 1 had to order the passenger side rear view mirror. Even in 1976, when I got my 1st 225 Landau coupe fully equipped, I had to order it.

It wasn't mandated by federal laws at that time.

So this car had optional cornering lights and lamp monitors, chrome wheels, am/fm radio, split front seat, power antenna, rear defog, but no tilt or cruise? Strange. Nice color combination. Seeing the rust bubble on the trunk lid would make me look hard at the vinyl top, they held moisture and usually ended up rusting the metal underneath, but they were what was popular at the time.
@larryhawkins32945 жыл бұрын
Very observant and very unusual for it not to have a tilt or a tilt/telescopic steering wheel. I can see it not having the cruise control option.
