For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritan. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Jesus Christ was our perfect example back to God. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost and we must be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. He was holy and walked in righteousness and we must be holy and walk in righteousness. He died and rose again, and we must die to the things of this world and rise to walk in the newness of life. He prayed to the father showing us how to pray to the father. It's by grace that one is saved through what? FAITH! Now understand that faith without works is dead. Faith alone can't save you. READ James 2:14-26. Be aware! The devil is very deceitful. If he can cause one-third of the angels to fall, I'm sure he doesn't have a problem deceiving weak man. I'll prove it! Let's take Ephesians 2:8-9, For by grace are ye saved through faith. Now what the devil has done is added just one word ALONE to it to deceive many. Many will hold on to the lie for dear life. There is no ALONE in that verse. We shouldn't add to the word of God. The devil causes many to add just one WORD ALONE to trick many. Now many are saying you are saved by grace ALONE or by FAITH ALONE. That is not what the bible says. Titus 3:5, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. James 2:14-26, What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man says he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? Verse 17, Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being ALONE. There are no contradictions in the bible. Both are right! You can't be saved by doing it your own way with your own good deeds, but you can be saved when you have faith and obey God's commands on salvation. Acts 2:38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. John 3:5, Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. The book of Acts shows us how Christ started the church that he said he was going to build and how to enter the church. Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the church to show us how to behave now that we were born again into the church. What the devil has done is added words like Alone to certain scriptures and caused many to follow man's way instead of how God set it up. Many run to the letters that were written to the church and grab a verse and run with it. That's why many run to Romans 10:9. Read the beginning of the chapter to see who Paul was talking about. To be saved the right way, one has to understand what Christ done for us in the gospels. Then obey what they did in Acts to be saved or enter the church, Acts 2:38. Then the letters are written to you to show you how to behave or act after being in the church. It's not hard to see. If one is saved as soon as they believed, why Mark 16:16? Why Acts 2;38? Why John 3:5, or Romans 6:3-6, or 1 Peter 3:21, or Colossians 2:12, or Galatians 3:27, Why were Jews, gentiles, and Samaritans all coming the same way? Where was Acts 2:38 taken away in scriptures? Eternity is way too long to be wrong. Where are your scriptures to back up being saved the moment you believe? What happened to Cornelius in Acts the 10th chapter who was a believer? Why was Peter send to him to give him works whereby he might be saved in Acts 11:14 if he was already saved when he believed? You have to be in Christ to be saved. How? Romans 6:3-6, Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: How do we put on Christ? Galatians 3:27, For as many of you as having been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ. How do we get our sins removed? Acts 2;38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. How can one be saved still taking their sins with them? Jesus didn't just say believe, but believe and be baptized and you shall be saved. Mark 16:16. All scriptures go hand and hand and none can be thrown away.

Ll, John, who wrote Revelation was a Jew. He would have written in Hebrew and at the time of his writing Arabic numerals were not in use and they would not have been in Hebrew anyway. 666 does not apply: It is translated to be 666 but in fact it was 600 60 6. All Hebrew characters have a corresponding numerical value. It would have been written in Hebrew but there are many ways to write that value. The most simple way would be vvv (vav vav vav). Vav is the sixth letter and Carries the value of 6 and it is the number of man. So, you might be preaching much about nothing. Everything in scripture is Jerusalem centric.

What a wretched man I am who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God thru Jesus Christ our Lord. But make not the mistake of thinking that all you need is the Holy Spirit. It is given when God the Father sees your repentance of seeking the truth for your sin is sincere. And yes it means you will go to heaven, but the purpose of the Holy Spirit is two-fold! Guarantee your salvation AND help you find the truth to your sin and find the love that truth reveals to add up till the measure of your faith is full and sufficient to your belief in Jesus. And walking in the Way of love is your choice, and as you so choose you, ' submit then to God and resist the devil and he will flee.' And the new you that you have grown up into being One in the lord in is seen inverse: 'cast the plank out of your own eye first, then you will see clearly to cast the speck from your brother's eye.' How? By teaching them the Way of repentance to the acknowledging of truth, to seeing the Way of love the truth reveals for to submit to, abide in and be transformed to be One. Every person must do this 'repent and believe.' Its more than a prayer it your walk in the Lord Jesus knowing the love of the Father you have filled your hearts measure with making you faith-full of your reason's to believe in Jesus. Now write all of this down and keep it safe for future reading and understanding. Put it in a safe place, then go out and enjoy being a kid.

God created the New Testament for a reason . It's the new covenant that we live by . It's fine to keep the Sabbath but it doesn't count towards your salvation . Colossians 2 :16 . He intends to give us victory over every sin that besets us. He will not leave us in the same mess He found us in. It's unbiblical to think God saves us and then leaves us to stay in bondage to sin. So if I know that stealing is a sin and I refuse to stop where does that leave me? In rebellion. Rev. 3:5 is clear, "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life…" A true saving relationship with Christ leads to a life of obedience to His commands and that includes His Ten Commandments. This is evidence of walking with Christ, not something we do to earn salvation. The Sabbath is a gift of resting in Christ, and the Bible gives us abundant evidence to pinpoint that day. The Scripture is also clear, there is another power that has attempted to change that day of rest and it will lead to a final choice for mankind in the end. Please read Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2, Colossians 2:16-17, and Revelation 1:10 before blaming Catholic Church, the Sabbath is no longer binding, early Christians and the Apostles worshipped on the first day of the week - the Lord's day, Sunday. Even extra-Biblical sources like the writings of early Church fathers shows that they broke bread (performed the Holy Mass) on Sundays. Besides Daniel 7:25 is talking about changing laws in the end times, Sunday Mass is a tradition that has been passed down since the time of the Apostles. The time period of the Apostles were not endtimes, we are living in the endtimes. So basic logic dictates that your theory is false. Changing laws in Daniel might be talking about literal laws of the state, like abortion laws. Christian groups like 7th Day Adventists that practice Sabbath on Saturdays have only started recently, even Protestant Reformation was in the 16th century. Before that only Catholics and Orthodox existed, and both of them practice Sabbath on Sundays. So all Christians since the time of Apostles til Protestant Reformation (16th century) practiced Sabbath on Sundays.

I understand the argument against the Catholic saints and to some degree I agree....but for myself I left the church in my mid twenties only to return ( i was looking for something) in my late 40s....I was charismatically invited back in to the church by a new pastor and got very involved with the inner core of that particular church here in California...I thought I would be meeting the best of the best. The cream of the crop but I was disappointed. What I found was a lot of hypocrisy among my fellow church goers and even my pastor. What I saw was a "show" each Sunday and each holy day was a major production...our pastor was the one people worshiped not God. The WAY something was done was more important the WHY it was done...and God help you if you messed up. I met a lot of insecure jealous people who would just as easily stab you in the back and then go to church and pretend to be pious...it was an eye opening experience for me and I haven't even mentioned the amount of control I saw from what I called the Hierarchy of the church...the control the rules...the "do as i say not as i do" mentality.....plus I don't believe that the wafer and the wine are transformed into the body and blood of Christ.....this gives priests too much power...I can go on and on.....God forgive me I do believe and am a follower of Christ but I can no longer call myself Catholic. ...I didn't mean to ramble but your comment made me reply.

God tells us some where in the bible about having the faith of a child, as you you know they just have faith and trust you implisantly without thought. Here is my testimony. I was baptized in the 7th day Adventist church in Otis Orchards, Washington in 2006. After I had many ups and downs, and struggled at times with belief in God. In 2016 I reconnected with God and began a daily study of the Bible. In this time I only studied the Old Testament or TaNaKh. Fast forward to today, and I am reconnecting with Jesus and my original church. Through scripture, Yehowah has been revealing truth’s to me that might seem completely absurd, but can be backed up by scripture. I think we are approaching the end days, and we the people need a revival. We can’t just believe in what is regurgitated in church, because the SDA wouldn’t exist today if the founders didn’t question the authority of their day. An example of an unconventional idea is Joshua son of Nun IS Jesus of Nazareth.

It is blasphemous to; worship idols, pray to Mary, for the Pope to claim to be godlike, or for priests to claim to be able to forgive sin. Confession to each other is healthy, and allows people to unburden themselves, however, only God can forgive sin.

@I Heard You might want to read Mark 2:7 and Micah 7:18 before implying that I'm ignorant. Mark explicitly states "it's blasphemous for anyone, other than God, to forgive sin". He isn't talking about forgiving someone who has transgressed against you, (or vice versa) and that isn't what I'm talking about either. Secondly, the pope's canonized title is "lord god the pope". Different popes have declared themselves to be equal to God, or godlike in their writings. You can believe whatever you like, and worship God how you see fit. I'm sorry I offended you. However, I didn't pull what I wrote out of thin air, I obtained that information from scriptures and from writings I've read about different popes.

Please pray for me. I came back to Christ but I ruined my life 😭. I don't even know why I'm here. Why . Nobody wants to talk to me in my community,so how can I even spread the word. I ruined my life with various addictions. I have quit a lot of them but I still smoke cigarettes. And have problems with anger , and coping in a healthy way. Pray God will deliver me from cigarettes and that Christ and God forgives me for ruining my body ,with these addictions.
