Thank you pastor John for this wonderful opportunity to learn more about this Death matter. Surely When we look at Jesus life, he lived and worked on earth just like us ,then he died like the rest have and we are going to. He was buried. He did not go to heaven immediately. He went after his resurrection . during the three days in the tomb, he didn't do anything. This emphasizes that the dead can't do anything. Then he resurrected and went to heaven. Wooooo.

An interesting analysis of an important issue, and warning against spiritism. But how do you reconcile these teachings on death with the account of the transfiguration of Jesus in Luke 9:29 -31 which seems to indicate that Moses and Elijah - two deceased figures- were actually in Jesus's presence and conversing with him, and were not merely present as symbols of the law and the prophets?. The relevant verses state ""As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem". (NIV) Furthermore, why does 1 Thess 4: 14 refer to the Second Coming as involving Jesus bringing those who have fallen asleep in him if they remained in the grave at death? The verse states, " For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him". It seems these passages were not addressed in this presentation.

Abraham had 3 angels visit him in physical form. How's that possible if there is no life after death, Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead. Those who are (Asleep) unconscious dead shall rise first, those remaining alive will rise after. Sleep I see no definition what it is, where we are or what we are, but Jesus said we will be wakened from it the day of judgement, the old ways are gone and the new shall begin. But most important we must make that choice whom we follow while we are here and alive. The ghosts and such I believe are fallen demonic angels set to (fool you) into their witchcraft, don't ever go there. Job 1:7 "Where have you come from?" said the LORD to Satan. "From roaming through the earth," he replied, "and walking back and forth in it." 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
