I didnt go to church today and have been constantly thinking about NOT returning to church and just study at home --too much going on...until @RyanDay sang that song. It touched me that he sang it, it touched me that he chose it, it touched me that God chose him to sing it today. Honestly, I heard it clearer than his actual study. So, Ill rewind the whole thing and thanks again to the entire panel.

Sister, keep your eyes on the Lord! Continue to fellowship with your brethren and be open about your struggles. If that church is not teaching what you need, pray and find another. We know that worshiping on the Sabbath is #1 in choosing a church, but we must be spiritually fed! I love this Sabbath school panel and their breakdown of the lessons, but you need the fellowship as well! Pray, fast, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to be with you daily. Ask daily for the Holy Spirit as Jesus went out and prayed daily to his Father! I am struggling with prayer because I don’t feel deserving of anything, but my time at church allows me to give back and have Spirit led conversations each week and to grow stronger and remember God is Good and hold on to his Grace and Mercy! As his 2nd coming is at the door, prepare… because He called you for a reason and he wants you wholeheartedly to be among those who He raises up when He comes. 🙏🏼💕 Last thought from the Sermon at my church on Sabbath… Jesus = Selflessness and that is what he calls us to be. Dwell on why you don’t want to go to church? How can you stop looking inward? Because satan is = selfishness which is exactly what happens on Sabbath morning when I get attacked with “I don’t feel like going” but if we are selfless we say, “who can I encourage today?” “Who needs me this week?” “How will the Holy Spirit fill me and strengthen me to do good works?” All this I have said is for me and all those who feel as you do. Hi, thank you for your question. In Matthew 28:19 Jesus says, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...." The phrase, "in the name of" is spoken here as a figurative expression for "in the power and authority of." The early disciples baptized in the name of Jesus because both Jews and Gentiles were boldly turning their backs on their previous ways of thinking to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. This was on full display when they were baptized publicly through the authority of Jesus' name. By baptizing in the name of Jesus, the early disciples were acting under the power and authority of the entire Godhead since Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are One in purpose and character. When ministers today follow the pattern of Matthew 28:19 to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, they are still baptizing in Jesus' name as did early disciples. Romans 6:3-11 reminds us that the words used are not as important as understanding and accepting the life-change that baptism represents. May God bless you in your daily Bible study and prayer.
