is the braid after the treatment 100% necessary or is that just your personal preference on how you do it?

With how it looks in the video, and by doing my own kids 3c hair, its mostly braided to keep it untangled until you're ready to style it, and to keep it untangled overnight. As long as you find a style that can keep it best untangled it doesn't have to be a braid 👍
