Spectacular job. . Curly big hair girl here. Years back this routine would have given me similar results. But now I’m 63 and my hair has thinned and I don’t have the volume I used to. 😢 Still I strive. Thanks for sharing your routine. I didn’t know there was a pre shampoo regimen I could be doing. Learn something new every day.

I got tired of my arm getting tired whenever I defused, so I invested in a stand dryer. It is so much better, and you feel like you're in a hands-free salon setting. Think about it. Btw, when you were (comically) demonstrating your blow dryer converter and I used to use it for deep conditioning, until I made the leap and purchased the stand-alone bonnet dryer and will never look back.

Loved this video! My daughter has 3c curls and I’m learning to care for them well, so this was so helpful. I’m wondering… do you do anything to “refresh” the shape on day 2 hair? After you’ve slept in the pony and bonnet/scarf, do you add any water or product and/or pick it out more to get it back to the ideal shape?

I usually just pick it out! On day 3 or 4 I’ll add some water and And maybe product! I’ll do a video in my TikTok when I refresh :)

Hii I also wanna give you my opinion ☺ I also have 3c hair and since your daughter is probably young I wouldn't recommend you to pick her hair instead if it's too frizzy by day 2 wich should not be the case (if you used gel) you can use a spray bottle with water and a bit of leave in and scrunch it a bit also try to keep her hair in braids from time to time that way you can prevent breakage and I wouldn't recommend bonnets if her hair is long since it will shrink and it will take a weird form when she wakes up so you can use scarfs 💕

I’ve been on my curly hair journey for a little while now. I stopped using relaxers about a year and a half ago - but I do silk presses mostly because my new growth is curly and the relaxed part is straight. We have the same hair type, I will be trying this routine in the future! Looks beautiful.

Shucks! I want to see a defined video… but it seems like the last video was a while ago… also I feel like I’ve not come across anyone who straightens their hair regularly (every week) and occasionally keeps it curly. (I mean of course I am looking for basically a way more knowledgeable me. Lol.) I remember you mentioned you straighten sometimes- what is that process like for you? I feel like I haven’t found the perfect shampoo/conditioner yet for not wearing my hair curly. Most curly hair shampoo is like curl defining… which I only want when I wear my hair natural. Alsooo (5 hours later- thanks for sticking in there) what were the products that turned your hair into a flammable haystack? I need to know what to avoid! Ha ha.
