The nine films are pretty clearly outlined here. The origins, the slight regression and how the apes become advanced and humans lose the evolutionary war, and then the reign of advanced apes thousands of years in the future. They could even have a tenth as a crown jewel on the franchise, remaking the original Planet of the Apes.

Caesar was more like the Moses of the Ape society. He was raised in isolation, went out into the world, witnessed death and oppression, even killed someone, and led his people to the Promised Land but died before he could enjoy it himself. Going in I thought Noa would be the Jesus figure of the Apes. And the next trilogy would focus on an Islamic analoge (probably not Muhammad but another figure of the Muslim world). But i don't think Noa represents Jesus at all. If anything, he represents Noah, his namesake in the Bible. If you've seen the movie you might be able to formulate why

Cris is probably bang on the money with George Washington though. Without being overly spoilery, Caesar was a great ape. It was his destiny. To me, Noa didn't have that destiny, but he rose to this occasion. I could see him founding the Ape country that eventually leads to the Charlton Heston movie

With 5:00 I don't think apes are on every country and continant across the world. Lots of places wouldn't of had apes to begin with or had just a very small population in zoos so when the outbreak hit there either would have been no apes there anyway, or what little apes were there were probably killed by humans as they didn't have a leader like ceaser.. For example, New Zealand has zoos, but very few apes there. Once the outbreak spread the apes in New Zealand zoos were probably killed by humans since they didn't have an ape like ceaser to help them. So New zealand is probably ape free still 300 years later.. and unless apes have figured out how to cross the ocean, I'm sure there's plenty of places like that. Which also means those places probably have humans living peacefully.

To be honest, I was hoping they would have left the Andy Serkis trilogy alone. Maybe back in 2018 I would have been onboard for more films but Caesar ended up becoming the heart and soul of that trilogy that there’s no imaging Planet of the Apes without him. I’m onboard for a new reboot but to do a 4th film and onward raises the risk of a bad apple in a perfect trilogy streak.

Chris you gotta check out the classic Apes sequels! Conquest is probably the best of the bunch, but there’s a lot of things you’ll recognize narratively throughout the series in Kingdom and the Wyatt/Reeves trilogy.

I don't mind more movies of planet of the apes, there is a loooot you can do with it and like many other including me have said in the past we still haven;t really tapped into the more scifi parts so a slow build up to that is probably the best course they could take if the plan is to make more. I just hope they stick with the current formula which is do world building, have 1 protagonist per trilogy and give them meaningful arcs while throwing easter eggs hear and thier for the potential remake of the original film. Could they do more after that? Yeah and again I wouldn't mind it as long as the keep the quality the same,not every one of these movies HAS to be on Matt Reeves level but as long as thier foucs is to tell a story that makes sense I'm all in for it.

I don’t think the Cesar trilogy is supposed to be a prequel series . There are a lot of details that contradict each other . Like Icarus in the original leaving in the 1970s and in rise in the 2010s. In the original series it states that humans were wiped out due to nuclear weapons , and it this trilogy we see that it was due to the simian flu
