Hi, I've used a condenser dryer for years. No need to open windows, just make sure you empty water tank regularly. I'm sure you will love it. Love watching you on a Monday morning. Glad AJ is ok. 🥰

I loved my condenser tumble dryer. You don't need to open the window when it's running and it will also warm the room for you,potentially taking some damp air away. Win, win. Re bath first in. Perhaps you could take it in turns each week? Loving what you are doing. Keep it up 😊

The night rate is a lot cheaper to run your dryer & washing machine, this is where your phone comes in handy. There is also probably a delayed start button. Remember to always spin your clothes on the highest spin, and you can always do it twice before putting your clothes in the dryer, it makes a big difference.

Look at AJ bounding across those flag stones while you were installing your lights...three legs no problem! He looks so snug with his new sweaters and blankets and it sounds like he is a man of many beds...you can never have too many I guess. Meanwhile Summer looks like she is living the life there and no doubt there are lots of things to keep her busy, entertained and worth exploring. Glad to see you are preparing for Winter there as it's coming in fast here in NW UK and snow is forecast this week on lower ground!! A condenser dryer is the one that collects the water in a drawer rather than having a hose. Ive got one and love using it in the winter months but yours is a very posh one. You can't beat a nice hot bath in the colder weather. The renovation is cracking on nicely. Cant wait to see the finished result. Keep up the good work. From Nottingham x

Heat pump dryer, my sis has one for a year now and it is in a laundry room with no windows. Her’s has an external hose (not as fancy as your new one), and she just puts it into a bucket when drying. Considering your van is standing on grass with a potential for damp collecting on the underside and subframe, have you any rust protection on the under body. My 4007 has just been scrapped - only 50 k miles on a 2008 plate but moisture rotted underneath and all brake pipes and callipers too far gone - quite a shock! Condensation is a terrible destructive thing, especially in the Irish mist. Thoroughly enjoying every episode- admire your talent and tenacity.

The tumble dryers who collect water instead of needing a vent is the most common here in Norway :) Your water tray looked a bit weird, but I guess the principle is the same. It heats the room, while drying the clothes. You don't really need to open the window every time, only if you tumble dry several loads a day. You will feel it when you need to open the window, the air gets humid and hard to breathe in. Some people say you can use the recycled water from the tray for plants, use it for cleaning in the house (already scented clean water) and a few other purposes I don't remember now... Happy to see AJ is doing better

I may have said this before or i just dreamt it so apologies if you have read this in another comment. I hate diy and have no interest in renovation. I discovered the channel when the Ireland videos were being published (not recent ones the wild Atlantic way ones) as my algorithm was pushing vanlife stuff having bought a t5 in June 2023. He is the thing I’m still watching , 6 months? of renovation and I’m still here and that is a testament to the character of the both of you and , one of the best productions values of any you tube Chanel. I came for the van life in Ireland and stayed for 2 amazing people. Keep up the amazing work or as would say in Northern Ireland ‘keep er lit’

I don’t envy you spending the winter in your van. I live in Clare and a tumble dryer is essential, I have an outdoor clothes line under cover and with the damp we get sometimes it can be on the line for days. With a condenser dryer you don’t need to keep a window open. Your laughter and jollyness is infectious. 😊

Pipe fitters are a trade. Plumbers clean out our clogged sinks. My dad (may he rest in peace) was a pipe fitter. Don’t forget you are on well and septic get special soap for it also I would get some straw bales and bank around the bottom of the van so the cold /snow doesn’t blow under it
